Out:

Norris, Long, Lowton (purely as VK doesn’t want them here so get shut and give some leeway on the wage bill).
Barnes (no longer good enough for this level)

Plus anybody who the club feel aren’t good enough / who need loan football to help their development.

In:

Striker (x2)- happy for these to be loans with obligation to buy if promoted. We need a Danny Ings and a Jamie Vardy.

Centre half- left footed, experienced, comfortable with the ball and able to marshall a young and inexperienced back 5.

Left back- only if Charlie Taylor leaves.

Goalkeeper- a solid 3rd choice older head type who can be our emergency keeper (e.g. a Tom Heaton / Lee Grant who knows their career is beginning to wind down).

Need to:

Keep hold of Josh Brownhill (unless a stupid bid (e.g. £15m or over) is submitted for him and he wants to go / we need the money to just push the boat out a little bit further.)

Normally I’d say that there’s no chance of that little lot but in this transfer window with how active we’ve been…anything’s possible!
Not far from being spot on, although can't see us finding a Danny Ings or Jamie Vardy for less than £10/15m even in the last throws of their career, but I'd love us to bring super Tom back to steady the ship and have a few words at the back as he always did, something I can't see Muric doing anytime soon, plus the commanding left sided cb, and we'd be back up in no time.

We just need to know when to play short and when to go long. Playing short when it makes no sense is madness.

It's actually just occurred to me that a big strong left sided cb could eliminate most of the mistakes occurring at the back and with Muric, Charlie Taylor is clearly not a cb, and that's not a dig at him, it's also a call to get him back in his rightful position, because since the Huddersfield game I've not seen a great deal to justify maatsen's place there, and especially after he's performance yesterday. Late in the game against Luton and also yesterday Taylor was immense with he's crosses, maatsen hasn't produced that often enough.

Too much over loyalty for some of our players. Taylor is not in the same league as Maatsen-he has been man of the match twice and scored the winner in 5 games .CT is cover for Maatsen at best. Taylors positioning in all goals we have conceded has been questionable-often drifting to the LB position, or not aware of runners and who is behind him. We need a dominant centre half who can mentor THB and marshall the defence

A dominating centre back is vital I think. Just not comfortable with Taylor playing there, on the whole he has done okay but doesn't look hugely comfortable and certainly isn't that dominating figure you need at centre back. We clearly need another striker option too as everyone can see. Toss up between the two is difficult!

Centre-half. Centre forward. Goalkeeper.

To calm down, get off our current players backs and trust the process. after that I would guess a striker I am uncomfortable with still needing a CH after signing so many I would prefer to go with what we have if honest but if we can find a good 1 for a reasonable amount of money why not.

That's because Taylor is simply not a centre back, he's head and shoulders and light year's ahead of maatsen at left back. Maatsen was decent in he's first game and scored the winner, since then has shown very little, has neither offered anything in attack and been poor defensively, I for one am glad Charlie now gets the chance to show vk what he can do. And also could give McNally the chance to cement he's place in the cb spot.

A touch of realism, considerable patience and an acceptance that the management team know what they’re doing would be a start.
