not sure about that, Sheff Utd look very strong
Just central defensively, even if the German lad comes in I think a lot of us will still have a nagging doubt about that left sided centre half.

The rest is fine, in fact from where we started it's unbelievable.

I reckon Obafemi will join.

Swansea are entertaining bids, benched him last night - they're broke and they need a sale. They expected interest in Piroe and have had none.

This is just brinkmanship and seeing who blinks first over a couple of million quid - he'll be ours (late on).

(No source, just common sense).
Unless we are miles apart on valuation then I agree.

agree, outstanding window and arguably a more effective squad than the one we finished with last season

Life as a Burnley always leaves you wanting more in the window, it’s been the best window in regards to incomings and we are still going to be left feeling like we are a left sided cb short, just like we where a winger short for 3 seasons

Blades fans I know (live/work in Chesterfield - so, that's plenty!) believe that Berge going is the difference between Auto's and Play-Offs for them.

Their midfield has very little athleticism bar him.

For all our other transfer business we've been very prudent and making offers that are more aligned with the 1.5 million that Swansea paid for Obafemi than the 10 million that clubs like Metz, Coventry and Swansea have been asking for promising young players. We want to be that team that buys cheap and makes the big profits so these sort of deals for unproven players just don't make any sense.

My read on it is that they want £10m but knew they'd never get it.

Seems we have so far made two offers, with the second possibly being around £7m according to their forum (that will be HEAVILY incentivised I would think with probably only a third or something up front). Meet in the middle job as time moves on, £8m headline figure - in reality probably costing us about £4m now and the full amount only if we go up. Pure conjecture from me.

Blackpool getting only £2m for Bowler is a really crap deal, one year left or not.

They're a one man team and looked absolutely terrible last night. I fear for them now - and I am still at a loss as to how we drew 3-3!

If Swansea need to sell to balance the books then it might still fall in our favour.

If we played them again in this last week we'd have destroyed them but strangely enough I think the Blackpool game did us more good than harm. The players and coaching staff learned more in the second 45 minutes than if we carried on winning games without having a bad day at the office.

Thanks Seasiders!!

Was what my mate just said on Teams to me whilst I was at work. It did seem low, 5-6m would be far more appropriate.

Bizarre that Forest have taken till deadline day to do that deal when chasing him all summer considering they have thrown money around like confetti.

I agree. Both the squad and the management team learnt a couple of valuable lessons in that game. Rather they learn them now rather than later on in the season.

Yes, a very talented player but I wonder if he isn't another one of those Chelsea players who flash and then vanish. Not to single out Chelsea, the big clubs have numbers of these just by the law of averages. Who knows, we'll see.
