I’m reading bfcjg “papering over the cracks” comment based on the performance last night not deserving of the 3pts, not the season so far
Ah! fair enough then, and if that's the case it's hard to argue, but even when not at our best we took a useful away point at a team still unbeaten at home, and were moments away from taking all 3, good signs if we're picking up points when not at our best, especially at a difficult venue where many will struggle this season.

Papering over the cracks meaning Cork needs resting to maybe 1 game a week, Barnes should not be in squad, Taylor should be left back.

Cork definitely needs managing, Barnes will be left out now we've signed a couple of strikers I assume, Taylor is a strange one, I 'd tend to agree with you, but clearly VK sees things differently.

Last night was certainly a game too far for some, but now we've got a good few days before Norwich, so time to bed the new lads in, and work on building up understandings throughout the team.

20? Your watch stopped?
Ha ha! Yes, it was a long time.

Came on at 83' and game ended at 99'. 16 minutes does appear to fit in the range of 10 or 20. Ridiculous but I wasn't far off, unfortunately, was I.

We played a better side who had done their homework....! It's difficult to have a player - playing left back one week and right midfield the week after.

Vitinho drifts inside and Steve bruce had obviously done his homework because West Brom doubled up on Maatsen as Tella played a left mid/centre forward role.

Better teams will exploit weaknesses but you have to credit the resilience of the team against a decent team having a better night. It was very impressive!

Agree put Taylor left back and just play Maatsen on the wing he's not a defender

Interestingly, the left wing back for Anderlecht for Kompany, Sergi Gomez, was a winger before working under him. He turned him into an attacking wing back (same role as Maatsen) - he was a standout player and recorded the leagues most assists last season, earning him a move to Manchester City this summer. But he was also known for not being so strong defensively…

Has Mastsen been responsible for any goals conceded this year?

For me he’s been out stand out player and has looked fine defensively. Just had a bad game last night, in part due to tactics I assume.

Probably Blackpool’s second?

Yeah Kompany said what you said basically, that he’s been a top performer for us but last night he just had a difficult evening against Wallace.

Yeah, had forgotten that. Maybe CT could’ve done better if it’s the one I’m thinking of too.

But I think it’s a bit harsh to say he’s not a defender when he’s been our standout player and not really done much wrong defensively.

Tell you what was also interesting last night - Steve Bruce taking some not so thinly veiled pot shots at WBA investment.

I wasn’t aware they had such a weak squad. 🤞🏻 that will catch up with them at some point.

Yes they had an awful deadline day, 2 deals fell through because of late paperwork. That starting 11 is basically all they’ve got. Though the sub who scored is a new signing from League 2.
