Re: CLARETS PLAYERS PORTRAITS TURF MOOR.
They won’t put them up now, I’d be amazed if they even know what they’ve done with them. They should at the very least put them up on the outside of the old gym or the walk way down past the cricket club towards to James Hargreaves
Re: CLARETS PLAYERS PORTRAITS TURF MOOR.
Paid for by supporters clubs and individuals and seemingly just discarded now by the Club, even though we were assured by Mr Pace that they would be put back. Very disappointing!

Re: CLARETS PLAYERS PORTRAITS TURF MOOR.
We were promised that they’d be put back. If that has changed, I will be really saddened. If they’ve been disposed of, that would be a highly disrespectful thing to do. I really hope they can be returned…somewhere!!

Has anyone asked officially?
Re: CLARETS PLAYERS PORTRAITS TURF MOOR.
If it's the outside wall space the management are concerned about why not put them up in the fanzone ? Walls are pretty bare in there.

They have likely been destroyed during removal.

Re: CLARETS PLAYERS PORTRAITS TURF MOOR.
Again, putting them in the concourses would limit people having access to them. We really want them to go back where they were! Or for the Club to just tell us if they don't intend to put them back (then they could hand them back to the people/organisations that paid for them initially).clarethomer wrote: ↑Mon Sep 12, 2022 2:09 pmI thought the fan zone was a great shout tbh and better than just being discarded as it currently feels like they have.
Or put them in the concourses?

Re: CLARETS PLAYERS PORTRAITS TURF MOOR.
Our organisation arranged for the placing of the boards on the walls in 2017 and our organisation's members paid for most of them. We queried the removal of them with the football club chairman back in May 2021 and we have in our possession a response from him promising that they will be placed back on the walls in their original positions once the work at the ground has been completed.
We've had no response since to any correspondence. The SLO and the Fan Experience Manager both promised to get an answer for us but both left Burnley FC without a response on the matter.
As previous: We will update when there is any news on this.

Re: CLARETS PLAYERS PORTRAITS TURF MOOR.
Could they not put them on the walls from the culvert to the turf with the council's permission of course?
Really feel the town lacks in that sense, Watford have the subway on Vicarage Road near the town centre painted with memories and players of the clubs past it really added to the walk towards the ground.
The council with the help of the club could really make the culvert colourful and something kids would love walking past checking out all our history

Re: CLARETS PLAYERS PORTRAITS TURF MOOR.
Seems like its been finalised that these wont re-appear on any club property. so what next?
Re: CLARETS PLAYERS PORTRAITS TURF MOOR.
The Burnley FC Supporters Group, which arranged for the boards in the first place, are now asking the supporters clubs and individuals who paid for them, what they would like to happen to them now that the Club have informed us that they don't want them back on Club property. Accy Clarets paid £1300 for 9 of the 31 boards and we are now asking for suggestions as to what should happen to them. Ideally we would like to keep all the 31 together but failing that, we (Accy Clarets) will be considering suggestions as to what we want to do with our 9.ŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 12:34 pmSeems like its been finalised that these wont re-appear on any club property. so what next?

Someone mentioned on another thread today about the “Town to the Turf” project that’s kicking off so maybe they’ll be some good changes with that.bumba wrote: ↑Mon Sep 12, 2022 3:17 pmCould they not put them on the walls from the culvert to the turf with the council's permission of course?

If they are not going on the walls of the clubs, I'd love to see them dotted around the town.

I think it’s very disappointing that is the case, especially after the groups raised the funds for them all.

Suggestions can be made on the Accy Clarets Facebook page.Leisure wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 12:44 pmThe Burnley FC Supporters Group, which arranged for the boards in the first place, are now asking the supporters clubs and individuals who paid for them, what they would like to happen to them now that the Club have informed us that they don't want them back on Club property. Another vote for this. Seems a shame that they'll no longer be displayed at Turf Moor, but you could for example have a few under the culvert, a few in the town centre, perhaps one or two adjacent to Manchester Road station/the bus station, and so on.claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 12:51 pmIf they are not going on the walls of the clubs, I'd love to see them dotted around the town.
As someone who doesn't come from Burnley, that strikes me as a really good partnership activity that could reinforce the club and town's mutual identity.

Re: CLARETS PLAYERS PORTRAITS TURF MOOR.
This was a private matter discussed by the supporters groups at last night's BFCSG meeting at which I was tasked with contacting all the sponsors. It should not have appeared on this message board, certainly not until all those sponsors had been contacted, one of whom is Up the Clarets. It's disappointing that some of the sponsors might now have seen it on here prior to them being contacted.
This should not have been made public at all.

I'd have them in the fanzone. If you put them in town they'll just get graffiti on.

If, as Leisure states, it was discussed in a meeting in December, i'd be surprised if it hadn't been already communicated to interested parties tbhClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 1:16 pmThis was a private matter discussed by the supporters groups at last night's BFCSG meeting at which I was tasked with contacting all the sponsors. I think having them inside locations if space allows it. Maybe one inside the Town Hall, one in the library, one in the Mechanics Theatre possibly. Maybe Local businesses that are customer-facing would like to show their support to the club by having one. At least it saves them from being weathered and vandalised.

I think around Charter Walk would work nicely. 24/7 accessibility and shelteredclaptrappers_union wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 1:20 pmI think having them inside locations if space allows it. Re: CLARETS PLAYERS PORTRAITS TURF MOOR.
It was reported back from that December meeting only last night. We agreed what the next steps should be and I'm staggered it's got on here. I see you were the one who bumped the thread and not sure how you knew what had happened but I am really disappointed that some of the sponsors might find out from this thread. That meeting in December was a private meeting.ŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 1:20 pmIf, as Leisure states, it was discussed in a meeting in December, i'd be surprised if it hadn't been already communicated to interested parties tbh
I'm locking this thread because this is unfair on BFCSG and the sponsors who will be responsible for making decisions. Then, and only then, if required, will it be pushed onto this board or social media.
