Just been left tied naked tied to a lamppost

Post by jdrobbo » Fri Sep 16, 2022 9:02 pm

PLEASE SUPPORT THE FOODBANK COLLECTION TODAY, IF YOU ARE ABLE TO!!

Hopefully this got your attention…I’ll be on duty with my lovely West Yorkshire Clarets comrades this afternoon and I would be ever so grateful if you could drop an item off (or more than one) in one of our eight collection bins.

I know it’s not cool to spend an hour in the pub, with a large bag of penne pasta under your arm, but even so, if you’re heading for a few drinks, there are plenty of things that’d fit in a trouser or coat pocket…

Tube of toothpaste

Small tin of something

A small jar of seasoning

Shower gel etc

Any contributions would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks in advance and if possible, please now try snd eradicate the awful image of lamppost-bound naked jdrobbo, from your minds. Apologies if you were eating!

The bins will be located behind the cricket club pavilion, outside the away turnstiles and outside the club shop from 1.30pm to around 2.40pm. After 2.40pm donations can be left in the Fanzone.

Is this lamppost near the collection bins?

That might help.

If it has helped one person to remember to bring it in, then it has been worth it.

I must admit to being extremely frustrated. Just do the maths…

We have EIGHT wheelie bins…we usually fill four or five!!

If every fan bought ONE tin, we’d need over FIFTY!!!

The difference we COULD make is huge!!

But, it has to be said, that with the exception of this website and various supporters group Twitter feeds, the advertisement, communication and publicity of this initiative, is on the hall, extremely minimal. I just don’t understand it.
