They are a strange club.

If you listen to the nonsense the clowns come out with, we have a dodgy keeper - they don't, their defence is better than ours, midfield they edge it due to having a local clone of Steve Claridge in midfield aged 18 who will run rings round Cullen, Cork & Brownhill and Brereton is best forward in the league.

Didn't see anything of their game last night but the bits I have seen of them this season they look consistently poor. They have this weird notion they will come to ours sit back and hit us on the break, they need the ball first. If Coventry are having that many chances against them while they wait for a very average side to give them the ball to counter attack they are f****d when they play us.

We barely gave Coventry a kick tbh. Very good game to compare as a team we have recently both played. They may be close to us in the league as it stands but that’s 8 defeats already. They are bang average.

It’s fair to point out Cov were missing two of their most talented players in Hamer and O’Hare when we played them but do agree Rovers are bang average with an above average striker.

I'm sorry, but you don't lose eight out of nineteen if you are serious promotion challenger

The more games we play, the more it looks like the standard of pretty much every other team isn't as high as it used to be, and we clearly look a class above

But three games till the break, and we will have a much better idea after we have played Sheff Utd and Rovers

Our game with them goes one of two ways, if they come here bully us and kick the crap out of us and they are that type of team at times and the ref has a weak game they could get a draw or nick it 1 nil, if they sit back and only attack on the counter they could get a draw or nick it 1 nil.

If they play attacking football like last night with that defence giving the ball away at the back and in midfield we will tear them apart with our attacking play from Tella, Zaroury, Benson and Rodriguez and it could end 3 or 4 nil

Another blank on the road for Rovers last night, and they've failed to find the net in 7 of their 19 games now.

8 defeats at this stage of the season doesn't suggest they'll be genuine promotion contenders, on the other hand they have won 11 games, so they do appear to be all or nothing.

The quality gap between the Prem and Championship has certainly been increasing. Poorer? About the same. Poor quality, but competitively poor.

I agree Blackburn looked poor last night on the whole. But they certainly have a threat. And we are looking through Claret tinted lenses.

I have a friend who is a Blackburn fan and has seen us a few times this season, and he isn't overly worried about us. His assessment was pretty fair. Very good on the ball. Sometimes sloppy at the back or when caught on the counter. And the possession doesn't always translate into chances.

Yes, Blackburn are not blessed with the talent our squad has. But they are no walkover. Even after watching them lose last night, I am very worried they can sneak a win against us

If you take 2 words from a sentence you could make anything up.

I said from the bits I have seen, not I have watched all their games. The bits of games I have seen them in they have been consistently poor.

If we can get 4 points from the next two games I think we’ll go into the Rovers game reasonably relaxed in the circumstances. Must win tonight because we’ve dropped too many points against teams who look like they’ll finish in the bottom half. A draw at Sheff Utd would then be a great result.

OK. So cherry picking a couple of words could lead to an unfair conclusion. Bit like only seeing bits of a team and deciding they're " f***** when they play us."

Which , for what it's worth, I hope they are.

Exactly, I didn't claim they are s**t or have been poor all season. Just the bits I have seen they have been poor in. It could well be just how it has happened that the times they have been really good I haven't seem them.

As for the 2nd part, you realise I started the sentence with "IF" based on comments I have read by some of their fans, which was with regards of how they play is to set up give the opposition the ball and wait to win it back and they let Coventry have as many chances as last night and create virtually nothing themselves yes they are f****d doing that against us when you consider how much more possession we have in most games, the top scorers in the division and one of the best defences.

I think id take 3 draws from our next 3 games. I'd 100% take 5 pts

Stay unbeaten, don't lose to rovers, sit pretty come the break, and make the transfer window count and I'll be laughing

Not worried about any opposition in this division, regardless of who it is. I wouldn't take draws against any of them. 9 points and open up a decent lead at the top of the table.

All I'm saying is this. They're 2nd top they must be doing something right. We know fans go on other fans forums to see what they're saying about their team. If the shoe was on the other foot you can just imagine a Blackburn fan spotting your post, and should they win, doing a screen shot of it and reposting it for schadenfreude .

It's always going to be wise to boast about our superiority and their inferiority after a win (fingers crossed) not before. Nobody wants to end up with egg on their face and those claret and blue specs.

This is the thing though, there is no boasting about superiority. I would have thought almost everyone reading my post would be able to read it and take that I openly admit to not seeing a lot of them and was talking about the bits I had seen.

You seem to have read my post more than once and decided I have claimed they are poor in every game, even in the games I haven't seen.

I won't be taking the rise out of them or any team. I just know we're going to lose soon, maybe tonight, but fear it could it be Rovers that do for us.

Whilst they've lost an uncanny number of games, with 3 points per win to me it matters little.
