Re: J.Rod's equaliser
The more I watch it the more fantastic that touch from Tella looks. It was a curving 30 yard cross and his contact on the run was perfect

Re: J.Rod's equaliser
A difficult cross to deal with but Tella killed the pass and cushioned the cross all in one move.
Delightful skill.

Re: J.Rod's equaliser
Tella probably has the best first touch in the squad. Incredible.
Re: J.Rod's equaliser
His first touch and close control are amazing... Sometimes his final delivery or shot lets him down but I love his commitment...Tella probably has the best first touch in the squad. Incredible.
It is a testament to him that he had a quieter game but still made that amazing assist and was involved in a few other chances.

I forgot to mention his pace, which is a massive asset as well and a complete delight and novelty for watching Burnley fans. His first touch and close control are amazing... Sometimes his final delivery or shot lets him down but I love his commitment

Re: J.Rod's equaliser
The best bit of skill since Stanislas’ touchline trickery in 2014? Think it was also against Rotherham.Longsidelenny1882 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 1:44 pmSaid at the time one off the best bits off skill I have seen on the turf for donkeys years brilliant utc

Re: J.Rod's equaliser
And don’t forget JBG’s contribution with a wicked cross that was deliberately put into Tella’s path. I do agree that the control shown with the ball to JayRod was out of this world. A good goal all round.
Re: J.Rod's equaliser
I think Benson fleecing two defenders and scoring the winning goal with the perfectly placed shot was on a par skill wise. We are blessed with quite a few young skilful players at present who didn't cost the earth and will only get better. All credit to our scouting and transfers in the summer.

Amazing and exciting that we are yet to see our two most expensive signings of the summer eitherFirthy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 3:38 pmI think Benson fleecing two defenders and scoring the winning goal with the perfectly placed shot was on a par skill wise. Re: J.Rod's equaliser
He’s a handful for sure. Speaking as an ex defender, I would have hated playing against someone like him.
Looks like he loves it here. I hope he does, and I hope soton don’t want him back in Jan.

Re: J.Rod's equaliser
His pace was shown brilliantly when they were breaking from a corner and jay rod (I think) and their lad were running same pace stride for stride. He sprinted about 40 yards to recover and was catching up a yard for every stride. He’s absolutely rapid

Re: J.Rod's equaliser
I wonder how much they would ask for him? they clearly don't see him as a fit in their present side for whatever reason.

Re: J.Rod's equaliser
I didn't think JBG was having a great night, but if he meant that ball to Tella it was some pass.
