Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
BBC Football live reporting says that all the Qatari fans that left at half time haven’t returned and the stadium is half empty now. They soon lost interest. I imagine that there will be quite a few half empty stadiums from now on.

I know mate, I'm in competition with KRBFC for the best football mind on here (he'll take that as a tongue in cheek joke btw as intended !)

They'll be smashing up the pubs in Qatar tonight.
Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
May have been posted already but Qatar’s coach and Danny Murphy share some similar facial features IMO

Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
Have the Qataris paid for "rent a mob" for their supporters behind the goal? When the camera panned across their fans, all suitably kitted out in the same matching shirts, I couldn't see too many that resembled Qataris. Have they bought in some songsters to ensure that they have a little bit of vocal support

Apparently so.......but have decided not to pay them at the last minute!CaptJohn wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 6:15 pmHave the Qataris paid for "rent a mob" for their supporters behind the goal? If they've opened the exits and you can get in for free, I would beheading there at half time.

Thought Ecuador looked decent in the first half. Game was won by half time and second half was extremely flat.

Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
Not quite what I said, I said it's a different proposition. The requirement/occasion etc, I never mentioned difficulty level, not sure if you're stupid or just purposely taking my comment out of context.
Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
Yes, you did say it was a different proposition with a clear inference that it would difficult to break Qatar down, otherwise why make the feckin point in the first place.
Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
Can't believe how many people don't understand the simple rule of offside
Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
No, it's a different proposition parking the bus against Brazil (who had already qualified and didn't need to win) and attacking a park the bus team at home in the first game of a World Cup. Some teams get better results when they're underdog and on the backfoot as opposed to being asked to break a team down. Us under Dyche were that, we could draw against the big sides in the PL and couldn't break down lower league sides.
I have never seen Qatar play before, I'd have no idea on the difficulty.
