Our next match - before the WC ends

Post by ecc » Sun Nov 27, 2022 11:22 am

Nothing is normal about this WC, that we know.

But I've only just realised - yes, I'm fick - we start playing again before the WC ends. Of course, the world's biggest league has to wait until end December. But at least proper football will resume for us in a fortnight's time.

Yep we play the day after the Quarter finals. Will be a bit odd but I’m sure VK will have the team fully focused.

Is the expectation that any team in the WC that needed to call on the services of Championship players will have been knocked out in the group stages?

Not wishing to sound awful, but I hope Morocco don't progress and
we can have Zaroury back in the Clarets bosom.

It will be surreal for us to be playing while the World Cup is still ongoing.

Morocco and Wales could well exit at the group stages, though whether that would mean Roberts and Zaroury would be available for QPR we'll have to wait and see.

Very good chance now that zaroury won't be available for qpr, and very possibly m'boro

At least he hasn't featured as yet, despite being on the bench for both games.
That's good news in respect of picking up an injury.

If so it's unlikely his teammate Ilias Chair will be available for QPR either and he's their best player.

On the other hand, we have Nathan Tella and Scott Twine ready to step in. :D
