No
BPF did great last night, but Muric is integral to the way VK wants us to play, and that side of his game is better than Baileys.
I wish we had Billy Mercer to work on the rest of his game.

We have a very capable goalkeeping coach.

Muric is absolutely brilliant at distributing the ball in the Championship. As we saw last night , he will not be able to do the same in the PL.
For me Muric is number 1 until we get promoted then its back to the drawing board next season.

I think playing Bailey was partly tactical last night, we certainly played more direct - and longer - than we normally do. I'm not sure it was united pushing us into it so much as Kompany electing to do it anyway.

Better keeper.

Re: Should BPF keep his place.
I saw some massive improvement in BPF demonstrating that he's learning to play the VK way.
Muric has had the benefit of playing in that culture at Man City before he joined us, for BPF it's a new way of playing.
The lad acquitted himself pretty well against a top level premier league team, I would love to see him continue developing to a point where he could compete for the No.1 jersey next season.
It would be great if these two lads are in a position to step up by the end of this season, it would mean that funds are available for other areas of the squad.

Re: Should BPF keep his place.
Personally I'd stick with Muric for now. He's great with his feet and atm we've lost 2 in 23 with him in the nets, so we really can't complain too much. He's pretty rubbish with his hands and at saving the ball, but we're so much better than basically every other side in our league that it's largely immaterial up to press. Unless things change I'd carry on as we are until/if we get promoted and then.... Mmmn.

Re: Should BPF keep his place.
BPF looked an integral part of the team that turned out against Utd.
With Muric still to win over the confidence of the fans many will feel reassured by BPF’s performance.
Thankfully it’s not a case of Muric or nothing
