Online Stupidity - Beware

Post by Big Vinny K » Thu Jan 05, 2023 10:13 pm

A couple of my friends were recently very very stupid online.
They ordered 4 candles but wanted fork handles

Anyway how about that Brexit ?
Doesn’t it stink ?

It's probably as well the thread was pulled given the libellous statements.

Shame but there you go.

He didn't stand on it. He picked it up and put it on the wall, and a nice lady rewarded him with a Lady Godiva.

Talking of online stupidity....

Had a phone call this morning. Asian accent.
This is Microsoft...we are getting lots of arrows on your screen! Someone is accessing your account and using sites and could be downloading pyrography, in your name.

Oh dear, I said. That sounds bad.

Yes. I need you to log onto your computer and then I can help.

Ah. My computer is already on and all is well.

End of call.

Pretty crao attempt but you never can tell who could believe.

Ps anyone know how to get rid of arrows on a computer monitor?😁

I have no idea what's happening in this thread. It's like you're all having separate conversations simultaneously, and I can't honestly tell what any one single conversation is about.

Sigh, no libel in sight.....

I have it on good authority from PPP that inviting someone to say something that purportedly they would not want to be part of is not the same as saying that they said it.

Example - go on Spiral, just say you're a Blackburn fan - is not me saying "Spiral, you're a Blackburn fan"

Brings to mind our old home. We did similar to what we used to do on the Midnight Club over on the old ClaretsMad.
We'd all log on to another teams site & chat between ourselves about trivial stuff & have 'cups' of tea.
Trick was to utterly ignore anything the locals posted. Whether it was directed at us or not.
Used to drive them bonkers.

We had to do pyrography in school in DT. Teacher made us do it...kept behind for detention if we misbehaved...see me after class...that's so hot...yeah, I love that wood...good boy.

Concussion subs not yet implemented on UTC, so we've got people going around with head injuries saying all sorts of nonsense.

Isn't predictive text the wrong name ?

If it was "predictive" then it would get it right every time, but it doesn't. So surely it should guessdictive ?

Predictions aren’t always accurate. Didn’t I see on here someone had predicted Rovers to get promoted and us to go down? That’s still a prediction - just a comically bad one.

Yeah, but it usually eases off when they're all back in school after the holidays.
