Not back to his brilliant best distribution-wise, but one of his more commanding performances I thought.

Good to see him bounce back from his error.

Couldn’t give a shiny one about his distribution on that pitch today. It’s his ability to be an actual goalkeeper rather than an extra outfielder that was firmly put to the test today.

And he was excellent.

Muric today proved himself some really good passes including a nutmeg might I note two fairly decent saves and god knows how many catches and punches that kept us in it wonderful in my opinion.

of course not cos certain individuals only come out when they are "proved right" rather than defending their "opinion" when they are proved wrong toxic individuals with toxic mentalities.

Fantastic to hear he had a good game. He has all the talent in the world. I do think a lot of it is in the head with him and if he can find that steeliness and ruthlessness that top keepers have he’ll be absolute class.

Solid today, and will need to be against another very big, physical side on Tuesday..

Really glad to hear he had a good game today. Nick Pope's shocker did put in mind of the kind of thing Muric might do.... But he's young and his confidence will grow.

Dont really know why your coming at me when I am calling out people who claim a 24 year old keeper is naf when he makes a mistake and only when he makes a mistake those individuals are toxic whether you like it or not I love Muric and I back him even when he makes a mistake because thats what a fan does they back their players for as long as they put the effort in because thats all that can be done shamelessly bashing an individuals and booing them does not encourage one to perform better it only knocks confidence and degrades the individuals if backing a player is toxic fair enough but I dont think it is.

Just because people are critical of a player does not make them toxic, people are allowed a different opinion to yours.

you'd do well to note I am not talking about opinions I am talking about bashing a player just because for example; Equinox a user who openly admitted to not posting for THREE YEARS but he came back purely to slag off Muric after one mistake and now Muric has had a good game he is NOWHERE to be seen that in my opinion is pretty toxic and on the case of booing that wasn't specifically in regards to Muric but more a generalization of the mentality behind certain so called "fans" not even specifically Burnley "fans". If you've got an opinion either back it rain or shine, or have the humility to admit you were wrong which many both on this board and twitter have done thats it for me on the matter. Up The Muric.

There is a huge difference between criticism and outright unpleasantness.
Some of the comments made about Muric on Tuesday were well beyond acceptable.
I just don't get why fans want to pull any of our players apart.

It's a forum people speak their mind be a pretty boring place if everyone agreed with each other,I've been shot down numerous times for the simple reason of not rating Muric as a Keeper that's all nothing unpleasant.

I believe it was Tricky Trevor who said he never wanted to see Muric play for us again after Tuesday. Not constructive, totally unreasonable and utterly ridiculous. Let’s just move on, support all our players who are contributing to this wonderful season and enjoy it!

Slightly off topic, but I remember BPF getting ripped apart on here a couple of seasons ago.
Perhaps not being Nick Pope is the problem ;)

After the Blackpool game early in the season Kompany went back to basics to protect Muric after some obvious errors, and it settled him down a lot. There was a slight shift in tactics to get through the following game/games to allow Muric to find the confidence that comes with a few quiet games as a GK, and build back up to doing what he's best at (roleplaying as a midfielder). It seems Kompany has done it again in these last two games. Luton didn't really allow us to play out from the back today, for sure, but it's as though we were happy to let that be the case and just play more traditionally, which is probably why today looked like a proper old fashioned championship match and not the kind of controlled performances we've become accustomed to. Amazing management back then in August/September to do that, and amazing management again now to immediately reintegrate him without destroying him, setting the team up to play in a way that gives him room to find his composure again, which we'll no doubt benefit from when we get back to dominating the ball and comfortably pick up another made-to-look-easy 3-0 win in the not too distant future.

He's not a goalkeeper he's a sweeper,if this guy develops into a goalkeeper catching crosses and make saves I'll hold my hand up...he gash at goalkeeping basics

He won't develop and my opinion on him won't change he ain't a goalkeeper...brilliant at pinging passes about at the back but little else.

I think perhaps missing the 1st choice centre half's limits the ability to play out from the.back more than any other reason

You do know that it's difficult for a goalkeeper to improve his shot-stopping when he rarely has a shot to save?
Training just doesn't do it the same.
