This is a 63 year old man who screamed and berated a member of staff for arranging the Teddy Bears on his bed in the " wrong " way ..... He was offered a route to redemption, following blueprint of John Profumo, who after resigning from the War Office, working quietly and without fuss, devoting most of the rest of his life to Toynbee Hall, a London charity devoted to poverty relief. Mention of Toynbee Hall takes me back. In 1970 I applied to do 4 months of Voluntary Service and was interviewed by Polly Toynbee at Toynbee Hall. She gave me 4 months at Hither Green Hospital as a nursing auxiliary. Loved it and was was invited by one of the Matrons to apply for a place there as a nurse. I like to have an outlook of 'no regrets' but occasionally I wish I'd taken up the offer.

His current abode, Frogmore Lodge, reportedly has serious damp issues and needs a new roof, having had little spent on it in the 20 years since the pampered prince, fergie and the kids moved in.

I'd hazard a guess that the state of disrepair isn't a sudden issue - you'd have thought someone might have said there's a drip in the "saloon" and that bucket the underservant placed to catch the water last week is getting full, do you think someone should empty it, get a bigger bucket or even fix the bloody thing. Of course there's a bit of history, remember mum's wedding gift Sunningdale Park. Perhaps things are different in Royal circles.

Notwithstanding, the King realising his brother's misfortune has offered him Harry's old pad which is pretty close by. This can't have been easy for Charlie as I'm sure it won't have gone down too well with the Spare and his missus, what with them having no-other place in the UK to call home. Andy's not keen, evidently.

I can't believe he's expecting the Royal (taxpayers) Grant to cover the Frogmore Lodge repairs and the RN pension probably won't stretch to it. Sadly (and I do mean that) his mum and dad have passed away recently and you'd have thought they might have left him a bob or too, perhaps not, so he's probably in the midst of arranging one of those equity release loans. Trouble is the Royals do have a bit of a habit for hanging on a bit after pension age so that might be an issue or there could be a problem with the credit score, given the reported problems he had not paying the mortgage on time for the Ski Chalet. Just my opinion like, but these things often do come back to bite when you least expect them.

Of course downsizing to Frogmore Cottage does present it's own issues. A man of his reputation surely has an ongoing need for 7 bedrooms, but I guess when he comes to terms with no longer using all those military uniforms, it frees up some wardrobe space.

Anyway I'm pretty sure he'll get what he deserves.

There is no such place as Frogmore Lodge. Andrew has been living in The Royal Lodge. He can’t maintain it. It has fallen into disrepair. His last house, Sunninghill, fell into disrepair and was sold so that someone else could salvage it. He is totally incapable of doing anything. He was alone at Windsor Castle when it was virtually burnt down. If he is being offered Frogmore Cottage, he should be quite grateful.

If they can remove him, who will then live there? And who will live in FROGMORE HOUSE? Take a gander. A really nice looking place. Who has been living there all these years? I’m quite surprised that there are so many of these houses that are suddenly appearing on the Windsor Estate. Apparently William and Kate live in Adelaide Cottage, yet another large establishment in the grounds.

I'm sure that it would be cheaper to get taylor wimpey to build him a new 10-room house on one of their estates. Sure, half the bedrooms would be poky, only one would have any storage space, there would be negligible space between it and the neighbours and it would need to have a block of social housing flats over the back fence, but hey, it would be under 16 years old, so what's not to like?

Thanks for the corrections DD. I'm clearly not an expert on the Royal properties. I don't believe, however, it takes anything away from the points I was making about how entitled he feels. As an aside I see the porky prince's former residence at Sunninghill was sold to Timur Kulibayev the son in law of the former Kazakh president for a reported £3m over the asking price. No other bids were on the table or had been for the several years the property had been up for sale. Unusual.

I see it's reported today the entitled one is demanding a residence fit for a king, and it's suggested he takes over the running of the royal residencies as a job. The CV would make an interesting read. Perhaps he could commute between them by helicopter. Given the skills he's displayed over the years I'd suggest he's already fully occupied looking after the late Queens corgis. He really doesn't get it does he.
