As the Manchester City FA Cup game will inevitably be televised, that will be five consecutive Burnley games shown live on the magic lantern. I can't recall this ever happening before. Anyone have any idea of the previous record for most consecutive Clarets fixtures on the box?

I don`t know about consecutive matches but they had better get better pundits/commentators who can pronounce names ... instead of hearing the likes of "Churnilov" "Ofabemi" or "Zararry" ...

Or a supposed expert on co-commentary who isn’t surprised to see Twine taking a free kick rather than Brownhill as Rachel Brown-Finnis suggested on Wednesday.

Exactly Tony ... doing a bit of research ...

Motty was a star and rarely made an error ... Motty used to have a list infront of him of stats and players etc etc all thoroughly researched ...

Most of the commentators today look like they’ve just turned up. Embarrassing some of them. You’d probably get more sense picking a random punter outside the ground.

But she’s supposedly a Burnley fan.

You would think some research plus getting the correct pronunciations of names should be the minimum.

Shortly after that Twine incident, the main commentator appear to refer to JBG as an Irish international...

Haven’t heard that but someone told me he’d said that. Incredible.

Not great having a kick off Good Friday night at 8pm,either stay overnight,or late back home early Saturday morning, and then having to play Sheffield Utd Easter Monday.

You do realise that this isn't because of top of the table clashes or derbys. It is only because Leeds are in the Premier so they have to put someone on. :)

Anyone any idea how much money will have been generated for the Club this season from TV?

It's all in a big chest in Alan's cellar and he has not got around to counting it yet.

I turn the sound off but heard Rachel... pre match comments and she is apparently local and did talk quite soundly giving the sort of info neutrals would appreciate.

As it turned out she was right to be surprised as it was a poorly taken free kick.

I've always thought she was bad, ever since she started. Same bucket as Michael Owen and Jamie Mackie. All completely ruin a game of football.

With Scott Twine on the field I would have been more surprised if Browny had taken it ... Twine has taken 3 free kicks Hit Post (Huddersfield) Scored (West Brom) Hit Wall (Fleetwood)

How many has Browny taken and put in Row Z

She was the only person in the ground who was surprised and if she'd done any sort of research she'd have known he was going to take it. He has a phenomenal record from free kicks.

To be fair, anyone researching free kicks would have Twine taking 3 and Brownhill over 20.
She is a Burnley fan but works a lot of games as a pundit for the BBC and BT, covering lots of women's football as well, so would rarely get to games on her own.

But she seemed to have no awareness that Twine has taken free kicks.

Motty was good in his prime but was awful for the last few years he commentated. Missed really obvious incidents and was just rambling at times.

We're such a big deal.

So much so that there are tribes in the Amazon getting dodgy firesticks.
