Brentford beat them and I reckon we are at least at that sort of level. Definitely a chance of an upset.

I've no doubt we'll cause a few problems for them attacking wise, it's just at the back where we'll be found wanting.

We have great defenders, but not for coping at that level just yet.

Tbh they could’ve had a much easier draw than to play a team that has lost 3 times in forty odd games this season. As hard as the draw is for us it is also difficult to beat this Burnley side. We also got a similar result to them in the games against both United and Bournemouth this season to boot.

I fancy a sneaky draw and to go through on pens, hopefully.

Come on guys think positive it's a one off game keep it 0-0 for first 20 minutes and who knows you might be able to DARE TO DREAM again. UTC 👍

I haven't read through the rest of the thread so my points might have been made, buy football is settled by taking your chances.
We could have gotten something at Man U if Barnes wasn't wasteful.

But like most teams we struggled with raw pace.

Might be a strange tactical game as both managers know what the other team will do before they do it, unless Pep does something leftfield that he's sometimes known for.

Currently we’re the BTEC Man City and I expect the game to go that way.

3/4-0 city

It’s the FA Cup and no one can be more negative than me about results but I think this will be close akin to our SF against Spurs in 2009
I think this time we might edge it and maybe go all the way

We have nothing to lose but I predict a surprise Burnley win! Play with spirit and passion and anything is possible.

You know time is beginning to pass quickly when " a few years ago " was actually over 20 years ago ..... 29th October 2002 !!

Use the day to come together and celebrate whats been achieved so far this season. Ignore what happens on the field.

My only fear is that Pep will want to put a marker down against the man being widely touted to be his successor. He will go all out.

That said, it’s a cup game, give it our all, take any chances we get and who knows.

One small crumb is that they have a European game midweek. Offer him the Champions League or Cup and you'd think (hope!) he'll prioritise the European game. Of course they'll still put out a strong side just maybe not as strong as possible.

Like at United, I’ll be happy to see us take the game to them and give it a go. With better finishing that night we’d have scored a couple. Quite a few teams have taken them the distance at the Etihad this season and had some luck. We’re going into it full of confidence with just 3 defeats all season. Shame Brownhill isn’t fit as we will probably miss his energy in this one. But who knows, I think we’ll score at least 1 but probably will need quite a bit of luck to win the game.

City generally go pretty strong in the cup games, and with the international break straight after the cup game he doesn't really need to rest anyone.

The first game in a while where we haven't been favourites, let's just let the lads enjoy the occasion and who knows on the day.
