Brilliant.
And although he could pick the ball up he's looking for a pass... love it :D

Quality.

This boy is getting better and better every game. Is that most clean sheets in the league now?

Said the same tonight. He’s improved game after game. His confidence is sky high.

Does something every game that makes me think we have an unbelievable talent on our hands when it all comes together.

Hopefuly when we are 0-4 up at ewood and we get a late penalty he takes it. As he’s the only regular not to score this season (Costello and peacock Farrell aside I believe)

Passes like a centre mid, tackles like a centre half.

I love him.

I'd be surprised if he's first choice come the start of next season.
I know it's been done to death and he's got lovers and haters but my take is he'll cost us next season.
I get the argument that he's great with his feet but his primary job is keeping the ball out of the net.
I'm sure there are keepers available across Europe that are equally comfortable with the ball at their feet but are for more reliable when it comes to decision making and shot stopping.
Nick Pope is as bad a keeper as you'll see with the ball at his feet but not many Newcastle fans would swap him.

I never understood the ‘but the keeper is good with his feet’ argument. Especially when we had the likes of nick pope. But I see it now.

Pope is one of the best keepers in the world. But muric is so crucial to how we play. Starting attacks. The ball tonight to tella long over the top was beckham like.

That said he still needs to be able to keep it out. Especially at that level.

Another clean sheet tonight, what more do you want?

He literally performed one of best tackles / saves you will see. Then pings a ball out. He’s class.

Not sure what he has to do to please some people.
I'd go as far as to say he's a better all round keeper than Pope. The lads something special.

Fair enough, if that's what you think that's all a top class keeper is. I'm not one for arguments but I firmly believe hell be very exposed next season.

So Neil, has chosen tonight to call out Muric and Maatsen.

Best ignored I think.

Please re read my comments on Maatsen. Think he's a decent player but we can do better. Also praised Tella and Beyer on the Tella thread.
Very easy to say best ignored but I'm giving an honest opinion on a Burnley fan site.

Yet our manager is scouring Europe for a new keeper....he knows he's not that special

BPF will be off as he’s not good enough for our 2nd keeper, I thought that was obvious. Therefore logic suggests we need another keeper to compete with Muric.

The keepers he's been looking at aren't coming as second choice.

He's been good this season with his passing, won't get that much time next season, and there are plenty of better goalkeepers about

Why aren't they? Some of the names are young, unproven types to be honest. I'd say it's highly unlikely any keeper will come straight in, Muric has been a key part of this incredible team and deserves his chance at the PL.

He's been good this season all round, not just passing. I know you are one of the 'Muric haters' on this board and you've set your mast now so not much point me adding any more.

Hater is too stronger a word....I've said several times that I see what he brings to this team,at this time, my worry, along with many other supporters is that he is not a good enough keeper for the premier League.
