Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Still struggling to see what Foster offers.
Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Can blame the ref or them wasting time (who wouldn’t in their position) all we want. We’ve not done enough with all of the possession.

I thought Foster did OK
Twine and Foster off

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Surprised Twine off, easily our best attacker today
Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
I’d have left Twine on - done pretty well and has the threat if we win a free kick in a decent position.

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Benson cramped up. That's all. Darko to aid him is probably the best thing DC has done.

Cork cannot play in prem next year. Slow as molasses and sloppy fouls all year. Say your goodbyes

Not often that VK can be criticised for anything but he’s got it wrong today with so many changes.

Benson coming off. He didn't look happy to come back on earlier. Now looks unable to continue. Hope it is just cramp. 10 men.
Cork gets a yellow. Not sure he touched Carrol but those get given these days.

You’d never know this was a match thread on the message board of a side who’d pretty much guaranteed themselves league title.

If a bad performance is 75% possession and 16 shots to 7 then we must be a very good side.

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
A fair comment but these are, perhaps, the worst side we've played against all season. They've been awful and we've hardly put a shot in against them.agreenwood wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 4:50 pmYou’d never know this was a match thread on the message board of a side who’d pretty much guaranteed themselves league title.

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
We fielded a lot of players who haven’t played much. It was never going to be a sharp performance, in the same way the FA Cup performances weren’t.JimmyRobbo wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 4:53 pmA fair comment but these are, perhaps, the worst side we've played against all season. This really annoys me. Been doing all match and the ref books him when the game is just about over.

And that's yer lot.
A team who clearly think we've won the title.

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
I think it shows just how good we are in this league when the home team/fans are celebrating a 0-0 draw as though they’ve just won the league!!

The disappointment is that the opportunity for the record has gone - not with the season as a whole.Sheedyclaret wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 4:55 pmGive it a rest we virtually walked this league this squad deserves no negativity

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
I'm gutted to be honest, I really wanted the points record, one thing if we get outplayed with our team but when you make so many rotations. We had a real chance at making history.
