Re: Rotherham v Burnley - Player Ratings
BPF 5- doesn’t exude confidence. Poor on the goal. Don’t really get the logic of playing him.
Roberts 7*
Al Dakhil 5 - had a bit of Championship lesson last night, will probably do him good
Beyer 7
Maatsen 5 - off the boil at the moment
Cullen 7
JBG 6
Zaroury 7 - thought he did well, plenty of threat
Vitinho 5 - doesn’t work in that role
Twine 7 - played well
Foster 7 - very good first half, faded but much better
Benson 7 - thriker!

BPF 7
Roberts 7
Beyer 6 (his poorest showing since arriving and very uncharacteristic I felt)
Al Dakil 7
Maatsen 6
Cullen 8
JBG 7
Twine 8
Zaroury 5
Foster 7
Vitinho 5 (should clear the first goal)
Benson 8
Despite people being understandably fed up that we only drew and didn't win a second game in 4 days against a relegation haunted side, having been at both games I actually felt last night was a miles better performance than Saturday. Overall I thought we played well and totally controlled the game and our pace and passing were excellent at times. What let us down was the final ball or the lack of the killer touch when we really should have been way out of sight. Rotherham defended doggedly and ultimately if a team doesn't turn clear superiority into goals it can bite you in the ass. We had a spell of about 20 minutes early in the second half when we literally battered them and both Roberts and Twine missed great chances. Rotherham's first goal is simply awful and the second is a result of an unfortunate touch which takes Maatsen out of the game. I thought Foster was good and Twine was excellent and Benson's goal was a thing of beauty and really deseved to be the winner tbf. The ref was dire and made it difficult for the team wanting to play all the football, by allowing too many overly physical challenges to go unchecked (imo).

This...
Theres a quite nauseating sense of entitlement creeping into a lot of the contributions whenever we don't win these days. Heads need to be wobbled.

Re: Rotherham v Burnley - Player Ratings
Vitinho was on the far post, an inswinging corner should never ever beat the goalkeeper and be going into the net at his far post. You don’t even see that at Sunday league level.Hapag Lloyd wrote: ↑Wed Apr 19, 2023 7:50 amSurprised to hear that Vitinho was taking Rotherhams corners.

Scoring direct from a corner was pretty rare when I played
