Muric 6
Roberts 5
Harwood-Bellis 5 I genuinely prefer Ekdal
Beyer 7 some great moments again
Maatsen 4 I am not sure he is Prem standard, by some way
Cullen 6 had some decent moments and possession
Brownhill 4 something not right currently, looks off it
Benson 6 had plenty, threatened more than most
Guðmundsson 7 decent
Zaroury 6 some good runs, final ball lacking
Barnes 5 anonymous

Jay 4 anonymous
Twine 4 anonymous

Think we could have gone 442 today.

I don't think Jay was tricky to mark. I think you're the only person who gave him 7. He was pretty anonymous so I'm not sure how anyone could have judged him as good. The point is you critised the low marks of others, yet you seem to be an outlier with unwarranted high ratings. I agree about the first half although I'd say excellent is pushing it a bit - if that'd been the case the game would've been out of sight.
It should have been out of sight. We had 5 or 6 glorious chances in the first half, and more passable opportunities. The play - finishing aside - was that good. That is exactly the point, and yes, I think my marks are higher than most because I'm giving that more weight than most. I stand by that.

Jay - fair enough. Made his mark a 6. Others should wonder if given the first half, they've been a bit negative.

Muric 6. A couple of good regulation saves. I am a great fan of his but not his best day

Roberts 6. He has done very well this season but didn’t seem to have his usual edge

THB. 5. Way below what we have seen recently from Al Dakil and his passing radar was not working

Beyer 6. As others have said has looked better with other partners recently. Also looked indecisive coming forward

Maarten 5. So disappointed. Am a huge fan of his but he was way off it today. First half he did the obvious well in feeding Zaroury but second half he was awful

Cullen 7. Good but he is normally brilliant

Brownhill 5. Did not provide the energy and cutting edge so characteristic of his play

Gudmundsson. 6. Ok but not his usual self

Benson 7. Extra point for the goal. I wish he would take more risks but against packed defences it is much more difficult to work openings

Zaroury. 6. What a contrast! Did really well in the first half but in the second half was woeful

Barnes 5. Love him to bits but today he did not provide that pivot/focal point for our forward play which was so much needed

Subs

Twine 5. And a generous 5

Rodriguez. 5. Rusty

Obafemi. 4. Not sure how long he was on but completely ineffective

We should have been out of sight by half time. QPR defended like their lives depended on it in the first half and completely destroyed the rhythm of the game in the second. We lost focus as a result but letting them back into the game after we had equalised was just sloppy. Has VK told the players he is off? Hopefully not and this performance was just a case of a team that didn’t really need the points against one that did

Muric. 6 did ok, but cost us their second goal imo
Roberts 6
THB 5 I honestly think people on here overrate him and when either Ekdal or Al Dakil play we concede less (rubbish) goals.
Beyer 6 very poor defending led to the throw in for their first goal.
Maatsen 7
Cullen 7
Brownhill 7
JBG 6
Zaroury 8 (second half 5!)
Benson 8 + 1 for the goal.
Barnes 5 rubbish and missed at least two excellent chances!

Twine 6
Jay 4

Everyone knows we should have been at least 4 up at half time and cruising, but we weren't. Last ditch defending is one thing, but missing sitters is another and many of us feared we'd live to regret it in the second half. Our defending against long aimless balls out of defence or balls simply hopefully slung into our box was an issue early season and although we certainly addressed it, it returned to haunt us again today and I can't help feeling THB is part of the issue. Bitterly disappointed here as everything was set up to clinch the title. Full house, excellent atmosphere, few injuries and garbage opposition and we blew it. Losing 3 times in 43 games is absolutely brilliant, but losing today was definitely a sickner and a wake up call!

I was going to have a small rant, but you hit the nail on the head, so didn’t need to.

Muric - 6 - not much to do
Roberts - 7 - always involved
THB - 4 - is he not fit? Misplacing passes for fun, taking out their lad second half, that miss where his body position was simply bizarre. He still has a big future but would like to see Ekdal play now until the season ends.
Beyer - 7 - looking like our best defender by a distance currently
Maatsen - 6 - not his best game but think he should have stayed on as his threat is unique.
Brownhill - 5 - shouldn't just walk back into the team for me
Cullen - 7 - reliable and classy
JBG - 6 - I think I prefer him coming off the bench
Zaroury - 4 - what is going on with him? Every decision he makes seems to be the wrong one at the moment.
Barnes - 5 - love him but his good form is dropping away again. His finishing...it's not great - 50p headers and shoots always a yard wide.
Benson - 8 - Robben-esque where you know what he's gonna do but struggle to stop it.

Twine - 5 - ineffective
Rodriguez - 5 - see Twine

Strange game, spoilt by a crazy second half where the ball was hardly in play, and we went too gung ho chasing the title. For a team who has a lot of possession we are desperately missing a number 10 to link play. It feels like the plan is just spread it to Zaroury or Benson hoping they provide a bit of magic.

Not sure what happened when we made our subs but it felt like they just lumped it into space and it was a 2 on 2 situation which was quite frankly bizarre. We are missing Tella massively, but this is where Zaroury needs to step up and become more of a goal threat.

Muric 6
Roberts 6 - Went awol in the last 15 mins
Harwood-Bellis 5 - Clearly struggling since he came back from injury
Beyer 7 - Only defender who played well today
Maatsen 5 - Did ok I suppose
Benson 8 - Superb goal once again
Cullen 7 - Tidy
Brownhill 5 - Looked to be hiding to me. Not match fit yet
Gudmundsson 7 - Our best midfielder, bizarre he got taken off
Zaroury 6 - Good first half, the second he was average
Barnes 5 - Missed a sitter, didn't really get involved enough.

Rodriguez 5 - Rusty
Twine 5 - Not sure what to make of him. I thought days like yesterday would be where he would be taking pot shots at goal around the 18 yard box. Maybe under instructions not to?
Obafemi - not on long enough, but I think he deserves a start at some point

I'm not marking the game as I am away and missed parts of the match. I would like to comment about our players being called slow though.

Sometimes you have accept there are players on a pitch who are extremely quick and make others look slow.

The game should have been over at half time. Not sure what happened in the second half or why we were so seemingly nervous. We should be playing free-flowing, confident, relaxed football. It makes no sense.

However, numerous times now we have come up against a low block from lowly teams and we've struggled to break them down. What has happened to the 'old fashioned' overlapping full back? We really needed to get the ball into the box more often than we did. Our full backs never got outside the winger in the entire game and the wingers (particularly Benson) were guilty of not putting the ball in enough and when the opportunity presented itself. Put the ball into the box enough times against teams that play like they did and you'll get enough chances. Just caught up with MOTD from yesterday - see Aston Villa's equaliser v Brentford. They crossed the ball into the box around 4 or 5 times within 60 seconds. Just kept putting it in there.

It’s one thing getting burned by a Nathan Tella as a centre half… it’s another thing when it’s Lyndon Dykes

Muric 7 : cool and composed first half with little to do but made a few good saves second half.
Roberts 6 : one of the culprits for losing shape second half but played well in first
THB 5 : another who looked comfortable first half. Second half possibly his poorest 45 minutes since joining
Beyer 6 : had Dykes in his pocket and in fact embarrassingly so it was that easy for him in first half. Just lost discipline and shape in second like most of the team.
Maatsen 6 : ditto rest of defence
Cullen 6 : kept things ticking as he does but should have took a bit of a lead in second half when things started to change
Brownhill 6 : tired second half. Should have left JBG on and took Josh off
Benson : 7 MoM -great goal again
Zaroury 6 : needed to come off in last 20 minutes as what was the point if we refused to give him the ball
Barnes 5 : couple of bad misses but still think we took him off too early

Twine 4 : I can’t think of one thing he did other than get booked. Brought on way too early and had zero impact.
JayRod 4 : very rusty understandably

Should have been out of site in first 20 mins when we absolutely battered them. The chances we missed in that first half were criminal.
Second half - just one to forget. It’s no biggie though - happens regularly to clubs who have been promoted.

From tv. Difficult to mark this one: if we had been 3 nil up at half time like we could have been, we would all be giving 8s and 9s, but I suppose we have to take that frustratingly strange second half into consideration.
Muric 7 no chance with the goals
Roberts 6 not as involved as usual
THB 6 possibly his worst game for us
Beyer 7 best defender on the day
Maatsen 6 great first half then just fell into the team malaise
JBG 7 decent game overall
Cullen 7 good in bits, but too much sideways play for me
Brownhill 6 cracking first half then seemed knackered for most of second half
Benson 8 mom, kept us in the game with another screamer
Barnes 5 that was back to the Barnes of old, he couldn’t do the simple things right
Zaroury 5 I don’t know what has happened to him. Before the WC he was unplayable, since the WC his pass and cross selection has been poor. Coaching staff need to have a word with him

Twine 6 needs to understand how to get into the game more
Jayrod 5 rusty and it showed

Referee -10 I thought Madeley (name?) was awful last week, but this clown was beyond belief.
