14 years and 7 months

Post by Sean Dyche's Watch » Sat Apr 29, 2023 10:20 pm

The timespan between Jay Rodriguez's first and latest goal for us.

Which got me thinking... has there been any other player with such a timespan between their first and last/latest goal for us?

Ohhh good question.

Haven't the foggiest but Leighton James played along time between spells at the start and end of his career.

Jimmy McIlroy did it in 13 consecutive seasons.

Rodders has been about a bit since his first.

Don't know about that question but I heard on commentary today that he's either one behind or level as our top scorer this century.

Yes got to be Taffy.

Probably around 18/19 years between first and last.

Thought this was going to be how long since Rovers beat Burnley, but that’s only just a shade over 13 years.
