So it possibly isn't BK8?

Norwich had the good grace to pull the deal - quite why we then went with this company at all beggars belief.

Thanks.

Assuming the BK8 deal was agreed around the time you posted on 6th, and let’s say it takes a month to get the logos printed on the kits, hopefully we’ll see it early July?
I saw a bloke at Crowood last Wednesday with a big BK8 logo on a training top, the top was the same black with white Umbro and badge like the season just gone

That’s depressing.

Our training kit this season has been absolutely dreadful. Black in the main, single block colours for the variants. Unlike the kits, which Umbro got spot on.

City’s walk out gear last night showing how nice kit can be designed.

Really hoping we’re not in for more of the same cheap rubbish this year.

We’ve just had the best kit in years. I’ll fill up your half empty glass and reassure you that next seasons will be even better 👍🏻

The kits were brilliant this year. No complaints there.

I’m not a huge Umbro fan tbh, but think we’ve had some decent ones last year and some fantastic ones this year, so will give them the benefit of the doubt.

But the training gear this year (and most) has been boring and poor. It needs a real upgrade beyond being single colours as described in the post I replied to.

Have you seen the kit? Really hope it’s a good un for our Prem return.

Does anyone other than club staff and kids actually wear training kit?

No - I’ve no inside knowledge or hint of what it will be like. I just know that at every point last year I was wrong - I thought we’d have a crap kit, sold our best players, Alan P was a charlatan, would struggle to avoid double relegation.

However at every point I was proved to know absolutely jack. So I’ve just learned to trust the process and enjoy the ride 😎

My kids do & tbh wear it more than their kits because they’ll knock around in trackies and training tops more than they will wear their shirts, which tend to be training/matches only.

I tried to tempt them in to the plain turquoise and neon orange last year but they weren’t having any of it. This years there was no convincing them either. Think the last one they got was the walk out top from 20/21.

Suggestions it’s not BK8 but I’m sure it will be a gambling company.

The kits are very much personal choice. I really didn’t like the home kit we’ve just had but I know I’m in the minority.

Oh your proclamations that it’s going to be great are really reassuring then ;)

All personal preference isn’t it, I don’t like the 3rd strip we have just had but really like the away one just width classic football shirts sponsored that too

As I said in a post above I saw a lad at Crowood, on a day last week that someone else had seen Benson & Vitinho there, with a Black training top with the same white Umbro sign & club badge but with a great big BK8 in white with green accentuation on it

BK8 were the training kit sponsor last year. This may be continuing this season with no bearing on the sponsor for our main kit?

Can you summarise these for me? This is what I have so far:

Home kit is claret with a darker claret pattern in it, not white shorts or hopped socks? So I’m assuming blue?

Away is yellow with a black stripe?

black with sky blue circular patterns?

I was led to believe the second and third kits were yellow and blue.

Definitely no hooped socks.

The home socks are not hooped or white.

The third isn't entirely circular patterns, but it has a circle on it. But it's black, if not its a very dark, blue, grey or whatever

BK8 are Aston Villa’s shirt sponsor next season. It would be very confusing having two claret teams with the same shirt sponsor.

Maybe that’s where the confusion has been

Somebody has seen a claret shirt with BK8 on it and assumed it’s ours?

I suppose I must be in a minority of one in being more interested in who is inside a shirt than the shirt itself.

It’s a claret shirt with some slightly darker claret detailing, blue shorts with claret detailing, claret socks.

Don’t know why the folk who have some knowledge on these topics insist on being cryptic and drip feeding bits here and there - it neither suppresses desire nor does it give the game away

If you look at this seasons West Ham kit in terms of how the kit is structured in colour format then you’re not miles off.

Yes. The one that the squad have been wearing in Portugal is our training kit from last year.

I can’t recall it being our ‘default’ kit all season but remember playing away at Preston in 15/16 with blue shorts & claret socks:

A claret and blue version of that Rheims kit would be great.

I can’t recall it being our ‘default’ kit all season but remember playing away at Preston in 15/16 with blue shorts & claret socks:
We wore that combination a few times that season away from home if memory serves me correctly. We also wore it a few seasons later at Stoke for no apparent reason.

I suppose I must be in a minority of one in being more interested in who is inside a shirt than the shirt itself.
It's all about shorts! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpuJBtcMMp8
