Re: Club badge
All men's social media is clarets badge , women's is blue and academy is black.
Makes me believe its just a media thing than a actual change

Does this badge make it more likely that we will sign a twenty goal player?Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Jun 15, 2023 7:11 pmyou are looking at it from an emotional point of view (which I fully understand, I have the badge hanging from one of my walls at home and love it), I was talking about the relevance it has to us on the pitch this season (which unless you are a mind reader you wouldn't have got!), I'll take a naff badge and a guy who can score 20 goals for us this season over a superb badge and a player who can't so to speak. I hope that makes sense

It’s funny because away from this site, it’s these sort of moans that folk bring up when I mention the website

Re: Club badge
I’m always puzzled why on earth anyone would change a club badge ? You’d think it’s just a traditional linked thing to a club . Ultimately nobody gives a sh1t about any other clubs badge whatever it is . Perhaps they could spend £250k on some media ponces to redesign the badge ? And come up with some bland corporate “ sash” while opining it’s “ vibrancy , freshness , sustainability, diversity, strength” etc etc

Re: Club badge
Just doing the laundry and noticed that the badge has changed to the monochrome one on my kid's 2023 home shirt.

Re: Club badge
The joke here being that we've been using the monochrome version for years as an alternative without anyone batting an eyelid.

Re: Club badge
I prefer the monochrome version. But it's just a naff design, in colour or not.

Re: Club badge
That's true, and if they do change the 'official' badge to the monochrome I won't like it as much as the existing one.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2023 1:33 pmPeople did state at the time that they didn’t like it.
To be honest I never liked the pre-2010 one and prefer the full-colour version of the current, however I don't really like either that much. The current has too much blue, not enough claret, and the 3D effect on the yellow border looks poor. But the monochrome is dull.

Re: Club badge
Some fans don't like it, some fans don't like the Jack Walker song. At least only one is embarrassing.
Re: Club badge
The problem with being "modern" is that it means every few years you look at what other people are doing and copying them. Burnley FC should be ourselves, not a copy of anyone else.
(But then, I've never understood people who claim they need a new bathroom or kitchen because theirs is "dated". Different strokes, I suppose. )
