While I agree from time to time there can be a selection of supporters ready to get on a players back, you've also got to realise that most fans call it how they see it. Id be surprised if anyone said Foster looked great last season, it might be that he's got the potential and that other factors such as moving leagues and country's has had an impact but when your spending big sums on players you want to see your return quite quickly. I'm not going to lie, I was disappointed with how Foster looked last season but happy to give him the time. Hendrick was ok for us but nothing special, very frustrating to watch at times and Muric did well for us last season, once he rectified the mistakes from earlier in the season (claiming crosses and controlling his area) he looked miles more settled. Nothing wrong with a bit of constructive criticism.AGENT_CLARET wrote: ↑Thu Jun 29, 2023 7:53 amAlmost ever single season there's a player for whatever reason the fan's like to get on the back of and moan about regardless, Hendrick was one Muric last season and many more before them and it looks like this season's new target will be Foster![]()
I think Roberts is a good example, he's another player that was claimed was being targeted by the fans on our relegation from the prem. What then happened was Roberts admitted he wasn't playing to his full ability and since the world cup (and partly due to the new system) has looked a lot better. The fans were right to hold him to the highest standard as he was not producing what he was capable of.
