it looks a bit better in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=It3wdygcCyo but I still think it's bang average

Re: Next seasons kit
More traditional, which I prefer.
It’s just a shame that the collar appears to be so large.
A smaller collar and smaller sponsor logo it’d have been fine.

Re: Next seasons kit
I actually don't mind the new kit, however I'm not a fan of the gold sponsor - like others have said a different colour for that would have helped. The gold is far to reminiscent or Aston Villa for me. It's specifically that gold colour that makes me find that connection too I think.

Re: Next seasons kit
The kit is ok, doesn’t offend me. I’m not a big fan of having a gambling firm on the shirt but unlike others I don’t actually mind the logo and think the gold goes contrasts well with the claret. As for shorts and socks, we rotate the colours of these regularly so it’s not a surprise that they’re not white.
The big shame for me is the awful-looking sponsor on the kids kit which is what I will have to look at on a daily basis for the majority of the next year. Hopefully this has just been mocked up and they can look to reduce the size at least.

Re: Next seasons kit
I like it, just pleased they've stuck with the traditional badge, and not succumbed to their new logo.
Honestly, when I first saw last seasons kit, I hated it, thought it was someone's joke. It grew to be one of my favourites. Nothing to do with results, it just looked so much better in reality.

Each to their own,but if that’s the best we can do I think we should be looking for a new designer, last year’s strip was much nicer.

I, like most people, don’t like the collar one bit. Is it too late to redesign?

Looking at the shirts JJ is holding up, I think the shirt has more in common with with the second Mitre kit (minus the yellow trim) than the 93/94 shirt.Selby Claret wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 7:57 pmJJ Watt is already on social media showing off his kids’ new shirts - the DP logos are not reduced in the slightest (proportionally)

Re: Next seasons kit
It's alright, quite traditional, then you look at that abomination of a sponsor and it blows.
Surely it's possible to come to some agreement that it can be bought by fans without the sponsor? I for one, and I'm sure many others would buy it if the sponsor was off.

Re: Next seasons kit
Need to see it in person.
Said previously that the shirt won’t please everyone.
I’m not a massive fan of it and won’t be buying one this year having bought last years (1st shirt I have bought in a decade).
Maybe the away/third kit will be better.
For those who like a more traditional shirt, I can see this being liked.

Re: Next seasons kit
My initial response was "meh". After almost 24 hours after seeing more details I think it's a shirt that will become a "classic". Not sure if I'll get one (apparently 50+ supporters shouldn't wear team shirts) but I may do depending on how it looks in the fleshclarethomer wrote: ↑Thu Jul 13, 2023 7:26 amFor those who like a more traditional shirt, I can see this being liked.

Re: Next seasons kit
Personally, i like it. I liked last season's kit too. It's clean, traditional and classic. The sponsor is probably the main gripe for most.
Only other complaint i would have was not having white shorts. I do like having claret socks though as i'd prefer claret or blue socks over the more traditional white. Never beat the 2009-10 hooped socks mind!

Well I like it - a combination as worn in a couple of 66/7 Fairs Cup ties and some late sixties away games . I didn’t like last season’s kit one bit or the Ribero original for that matter. At the end of the day we all have different tastes and it will be consigned to the bargain rack next summer .

Respect your opinion Rick but theres no chance it will become a classic, most boring design of a shirt i have ever seen, horrible big bland man city blue collar, Embarrasingly bad now ive had 24 hours to digest it (in my opinion).Rick_Muller wrote: ↑Thu Jul 13, 2023 8:02 amMy initial response was "meh". Man City blue collar ? as opposed to the Aston Villa blue and claret that we’ve been copying almost every season since … oh yes 1910 ?Superjohnnyfrancis wrote: ↑Thu Jul 13, 2023 4:52 pmRespect your opinion Rick but theres no chance it will become a classic, most boring design of a shirt i have ever seen, horrible big bland man city blue collar, Embarrasingly bad now ive had 24 hours to digest it (in my opinion).

If that’s a reason, then the blue won’t make a difference. They’d probably prefer Claret shorts.ŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 12:59 pmThe women's team will be glad of the blue shorts for sure. Are white shorts more important than comfort? Not for me

Will the club print on the back of the shirts if they are ordered direct from Umbro?

Take the sponsor off and it’s actually decent tbh.

Think you hit the nail on the head there. They've gone retro with the shirt and should have done the same with the shorts (white) and socks (hooped)CoolClaret wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 10:03 amTake the sponsor off and it’s actually decent tbh.

This kit is supposedly modelled on the 94 Burnley kit from Wembley. They just got the blue colour totally wrong if that’s the case. Takes a one minute google search to find that shirt and the colour it is.
Maybe we took the colours from Villa back in the day so what , no excuse to then make a really bad job of something so simple in the present day.
I honestly can’t remember the last decent looking home shirt quite frustrating really.

Colours have a hex number, for instance sky blue is #87CEEB. The colour of blue on the 93-5 kit is clearly darker and looks much better than the usual sky blues imo.
I would prefer if we had that colour permanently and it might set us apart a bit from West Ham and Villa.

Yes, so do I.
It's much more vibrant than the regular sky blue.
For reference the two kits at 93-96 at the link. (superjohnnyfrancis posted above)
