It would be strong. Don't think it "guarantees" anything though. Leicester had Tielemans, Ndidi and Maddison in their midfield last season and went down!
They didn't have Vinny!

Yes but they didn’t have Vincent Kompany managing them.

This sounds like an awful lot like the ‘Tella is done, he’s coming home, medical booked in’ folk the other week. It’s just not possible a transfer would be done for 3 months without anyone knowing, let alone why it wouldn’t have been announced before now.

I don't understand why the club would not announce it if it was done 3 months ago.....

Hasn’t he been injured that last few months ? Maybe that’s the reason nothing was finalised before ?

In what world would Lokonga be a done deal for so long yet unannounced, not integrated into the club and not been played in friendlies and so on? Makes absolutely no sense.

It’s been rife with shite like that this summer.
I think my favourite was when pushpinpussy pretended he was told Maatsen was at the training ground when it turned out he’d mistaken Marcel Lewis for him on a training video and spotted an opportunity to pretend he was in the know.

That is ridiculously strong for the bottom half of this league.
Unfortunately, we also have an incredibly weak strike force!... I would be worried about this set of strikers if we were still in the Championship, never mind the Premiership, so we still have some way to go in this transfer market.

What about the new signing up front? He's really good. Forgotten his name. Belgian lad, I think.

Not sure he'll be any good in the Premiership. Crap at rugby the Belgians.

I have a smidgeon of hope for something like this.
Yeah we can’t offer European football (yet) but it’s a bloody good way for him to play back into contention as Belgian #1 striker in the Euros in the summer …

Doubt it'd happen but Lukaku would be a staggeringly superb signing. Always rated him and never understood the stick he gets.

I suspect he gets stick because of his decisions. Loves Chelsea so goes to Inter, loves Inter so goes to Chelsea then goes back to Inter because he loves them. Now wants to sign for Juventus because they are offering more money than the team he loves - then you take into account all the sitters he misses and it leaves people giving him a bit of grief. He was far better when he was younger, no idea what's gone wrong with him on the pitch, I remembering him absolutely destroying Ben Mee physically at the Turf
