Tonight's Football
Chelsea v Luton 8pm, on Sky.
We will probably be out of the bottom three at 10pm tonight, but back in it at teatime tomorrow. Everton or Wolves ( or both if it's a draw ) will overtake us.

Re: Tonight's Football
Chelsea very hot favourites but they do tend to flatter to deceive these last couple of years and have plenty of injuries and no sort of settled squad. Maatsen likely to start I guess, I dont think Luton will have a lot of the ball but wont roll over. I'll go 0-0 HT, 2-0 full time.

Re: Tonight's Football
We will definitely be in the bottom 3 by tomorrow afternoon, but we could lose on Sunday and still exit the bottom 3.
That would depend on one of Everton and Wolves losing tomorrow and Sheff Utd dropping into bottom 3 on Sunday if they lose to Man City by more than we lose to Villa!!!
All - of course - assuming that Chelsea beat Luton. (Who knows nowadays!)

Re: Tonight's Football
Would be a total humiliation for Chelsea to lose, given their spending.
And although I want them to beat Luton, there's a tiny bit of me that'd p1ss my sides if they didn't.

Chelsea been wasteful in and around Luton’s penalty area. Should be winning.

Twine started

Are foul throws not a thing anymore?
Re: Tonight's Football
The fella up top for Chelsea looks absolute gash.
Re: Tonight's Football
Looks like he’s got a pair of shorts on from the 80’s. Either that or they’re N’golo Kante’s hand-me-downs.
I actually think he looks half decent. I think it was Hasselbaink who said before the game that he needs to play a bit further forward and do a little less of the graft / link up. I’d go along with that on what I’ve seen so far.
He makes some good runs, pacy, comfortable on the ball and brings team mates into play. Whether he proves to be a good goal scorer for Chelsea is another matter though.

Re: Tonight's Football
Seems deceptively slow to me. A couple of times early on he looked to have got the wrong side but didn’t have the pace to get away. Touch looks pretty crap as well.DCWat wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 8:49 pmLooks like he’s got a pair of shorts on from the 80’s. Either that or they’re N’golo Kante’s hand-me-downs.

Re: Tonight's Football
Twine free kick just outside the box but hit it too central.

Very poor stuff at the Bridge.
Re: Tonight's Football
We need to play Chelsea at theirs now, they’re so poor. I can’t even work out what system they play.

2-0 their best move of the night.
Aided by Luton's defenders standing around like plums.

Anyone got Stirling in their fantasy team? I left him out after he didn't turn up for me last season.
