Can’t help but be impressed with this
I’m not sure about the roof but I understand why they’ve done it

Fantastic engineering. Looks very expensive but simpler than the Spurs system.

An amazing feat of engineering. Hope no one presses the button whilst they’re playing!

Fantastic. We could have done with something like this when Deff Leppard played on the Turf!

I wish we’d had a button to press against Spurs!

We’d have needed the sections to disappear horizontally, starting with our net and box to avoid conceding any more.BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 12:59 pmMade me giggle that

Pretty sure Spurs could’ve continued to score at will otherwise

Impressive. Not as tricky as filling in the corner bits at the Turf a few years ago, but still very clever.

Wonder where they’ve magically conjured up the money from for this?

They took out a loan when the interest rates were very low and then cracked on and did it allgandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 2:15 pmWonder where they’ve magically conjured up the money from for this?

The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff introduced a palletised system of grass pitch removal (as well as a roof) but it didn't really work well and was replaced with a Desso system (grass with support from plastic fibres sown in) like I think we and most top pitches have.

What's wrong with a bread basket?
Re: The Bernabau pitch/stadium upgrades
Fantastic piece of engineering that.
I went to the Nou Camp last week, scale of the project going on there is enormous too.
Have to say it’s good to see redevelopment from both clubs and remaining where they are in the heart of their respective city’s instead of building new edge of town stadia.

I’m going to swing by the Nou Camp in October, looking forward to seeing it tbhJR1882 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 4:24 pmFantastic piece of engineering that.

When did they do the pitch? I can't imagine the work that went into the pitch alone
Weren't they playing at the Bernbeu last season?

They played at the training ground for a while, might have done it then.
