Meanwhile, Germany are in a shocking run of form at the moment - lost 4-1 at home to Japan. Obviously only a friendly as they’re hosting but they’re in an awful run.

Personally think he will not get a PL manager if he leaves. He will be more accountable at a PL club than at England. I have noticed an increasing number of top football pundits turning against him in the last 10 days over hi persistance at playing and including players who cannot get a game for their clubs. Only elite managers win trophies and he is not one

To think that our football was postponed for that pointless cross.

Hope they haven't played too much football yet and can manage the rest of the season.

I for one welcome the international breaks. I enjoy the summer tournaments far more when England are playing in them so accept there needs to be breaks to the season for players to play in the qualifiers.

Also, it gives Vincent a chance to have a think about what the plan is after our humiliating start to the season.

Dublin was on commentary for our 1-1 home draw against Wolves during Project Restart. He was dreadful and over three years on he hasn't improved. He'd be better off sticking to Homes under the Hammer.

As for the game, it didn't disappoint because I didn't expect better.

The Bulgarian ref, who I thought had a good game, was having none of the Maddison/ Saka falling down and screaming every time someone tackled them.

Unlike PL refs they were not allowed to dominate proceedings, with their antics , and thus became less and less effective.
