I don't really care what you think about him, or my opinion of him.
I obviously didn't rate him as highly as you did.
Well pointing out that he scored 9 goals and those goals secured points isn't an opinion- it's a fact. And it completely contradicts your "didn't do much" post.

So I suspect that's why you don't really care.

Ramsey, Trafford and Tresor for £50,000,000.
Mental that isn't it when you think about it.

I have faith that they'll show more but thats 50 mill that could've gone to fullback/defensive mid. It's just utterly mind boggling

2023 in the Premier League prices. People point to Brighton buying cheaply but they wasted millions on players they sold for less, let go, didn't work over the last 5 years - they make headlines for the successes obviously.

Let's not forget, we got 3 for 50 and most teams in this league would get 1 or 2 for that money

Yeah they have an owner that can afford to cover losses like that -

If anything it highlights that we need to be sensible. We are not at the level where we can afford for (relatively big) signing to be on the bench/not in the matchday squad

Big question is what will we get for them in the future

Need two of the three to come good to make a profit on £50,000,000.

Early days yet but from what we’ve seen so far we’d be lucky to recoup half that figure for the trio!

We haven’t spent 50m on them.

More like 40m (Trafford 13.7, Tresor 15, Ramsey 12).

Note they probably include some form of future bonus clauses within them too.

Ramsey was the best player on the pitch v United, Tresor has started 2 games and both out of position.

I think we should maybe wait until at least the end of the season before we write players off, either performance or value wise.

Without certainty it's fair to discuss things nobody (I don't think) are claiming to be certain just opinions offered so far but granted early doors & things can easily change, if we all had to wait until the end of the season before discussing things there'd be nothing to talk about in between.

it highlights how difficult recruitment is for everyone - Man Utd have spent over a billion and most on players that shouldn't be anywhere near Man Utd

Yep - United are very haphazard though. No clear plan, finance people not football people all over the club (eeek) and no real plan.

Ten Hag, like previous managers has spent big on his guys that haven't quite worked out.

Worth noting that Ragnick was making work in this department (had an extensive list of target) and he was about to more or less transition into a D.O.F. sort of role then they potted him presumably for dishing out some home truths?

I’m staying off here for a while. Too many people who have no common sense or footballing brains and refuse to see the bigger picture.

With Tresor. How many times have foreign players needed time to settle in before coming good? People writing him off after a handful of games again, probably the same ones that did the same with foster.

With the bigger picture, when VK came in, he spoke about a 2 year plan for promotion and a project. We win the league at a canter and sing how we love him more than he will know then after 10 league games, people want him out. We are 12 months ahead of schedule, and I really think we are suffering because we didn’t strengthen in the full back positions which I think will be addressed in January.

The same posters are constantly sniping at the clubs every move, probably the same posters who did the same re the takeover and were quickly shut up.

There are much bigger issues than the full backs

The 2 years ahead of schedule guff is the biggest myth on here. As though you can actually select when the best time to get promoted is and try to hold off until then.

Come on now.

As I’ve said before, better full backs transforms the side. It’s as if our fans have goldfish memories when forgetting the pivotal roles they played last season.

I’m done anyway. I’ll come back on here when we improve and all is forgiven.

So why have we spend 100m and don’t have them, but we have 8 wingers who can’t get a game. How are we bidding 30m for Maatsen on deadline day but don’t sign anyone as a second choice. Come back one here when there’s some competence in the recruitment department I guess.
