I can remember Taylor giving us a pen possibly against one of the Welsh teams when Sam Vokes hands the ball in their area,he hasn’t improved much.aclaretinstevenage wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 5:04 pmTaylor will be reffing in the Championship again next time out. He was demoted last week after giving a wrong penalty against Wolves - in a game where they played a "big six" club - Premier League corrupt as f***.
Turned over to watch Werder Bremen v Frankfurt.

Re: Today's Football
Appreciate they have had some bad results, but they have shown greater ability to stay in games than us. Did it today, v Brighton giving them a vital point: last week v Wolves to gain 3 points, and held Spurs until goals after 110 minutes from Spurs. If we could achieve these three feats right now I would be dead chuffed. They have got as many points by doing it in their last two games as we have in twelve. That tells me something

Hmmm…isn’t the season only a third completed? Have some patience, and see how we compare at the end of the season.

Can’t believe VAR we’re looking at the ball hitting Haarlands elbow when he was in the back of the net

Re: Today's Football
Haarland is in the back of the net and the ball is following him in ,why would VAR review that?
Re: Today's Football
They were checking if Haarlands elbow touched the ball before the ball had fully crossed the goal line. Which looked like it did, but the goal stood as he didn’t intentionally direct the ball.

Re: Today's Football
Most likely they were checking Haalands second to see if they could rule it out, to even up the feck up of the penalty they gave earlier.

Re: Today's Football
There have only been 3 score lines of 0-0 after 90 minutes in the PL this season thus far. In the Championship at this stage there have been 14 score lines of 0-0.
The PL has been full of goals.

Re: Today's Football
The rule is though that even if it’s unintentional a goal isn’t given if it’s the scorer, but if Haarland could have been removed from the goal the ball would have rolled in anyway.

Big deflection.

Re: Today's Football
I take your point, but I’d argue that the ball was caught between Haarlands legs during his slide in, but I’d need to double check the replay, and I’m not going to do that so you may be right.

Re: Today's Football
Irrelevant that he didn't intentionally direct the ball. As an attacking player, if he had unintentionally directed the ball with his arm before it crossed the line, the goal wouldn't have stood.
As it was , his arm made no contact before the ball crossed the line.

Coming up go half time.
Kosovo winning 1-0
Muric had little to do. Punted some searching balls up the pitch.

Re: Today's Football
Hes really not been under that sort of pressure.
Though think he stayed on his line doing starfish waves once, when he might have come out.
Israel have been pretty poor though.
Second half just starting.
