Wolves are VERY strong at home.
You can see why.
Solid team. Experienced with game management.
We are years behind them, but we will catch them soon

Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
He's ran hard and won a couple of set pieces but never threatened. His performances tend to fall into one of two camps for me- exciting attacking threat lacking a mobile/sharp enough support without Foster to actually make the most of anything, or flattering to deceive. He's a good player but tonight is more the latter to me.burnleymik wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 9:19 pmThought Amdouni has been one of the few outlets and pretty much the only one who looks like he could make something happen. Opinions I suppose.

Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
We’ve played a proper Premier League team tonight, as opposed to the Championship side we played last Saturday. And it shows.
We just don’t look like we can break them down.

Frustrating this.
We had the opportunity to kick on and have gone back to an earlier season performance.
Not expecting a win or even a draw but we've just repeated the script from earlier in the season.

To be fair how has it only been 3 min of injury time? Kompany expected more.

Cmon JT!
Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
First half we played good attacking football but the second half we looked awful, nearly every ball but into the wolves box we didn’t win it, and apart from one shot outside box we looked toothless.
Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
Reality check ,just not good enough
Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
How does JRod expect a goal to stand after pulling that shite?

Damn lads. Momentum lost. Looked like two different teams in two different halves. Really missed Koleosho.

Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
We haven't been worthy of winning the game so I suppose it's only a point lost and an error by Sande Berger to go along with his error earlier in the season and those of O'Shea, Cullen, Trafford , Vitinho, Al Dakhil .
I apologise if I've left any player out but this is self inflicted wounding of the relegation material.

Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
Wolves are a proper Premier League team. Physical, experience, athletic and we just aren’t there. Game decided with Jay missing a sitter and them taking theirs.

Kompany and Bellamy don't half get a lot of cards. Least it's not hit Stan levels of aggro.

A truly awful 2nd half. You wonder what VK is thinking at times. Nowhere near enough all over the pitch.

Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
Hwang scores his chance and Rodriguez misses his. We need a better striker.
Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
It was never a sitter.
Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
Absolute pathetic from Kompany, chasing the game and he waits until a minute to go, FFS .
Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
Kompany really needs to improve the use of his subs. They always so bizarre.

We very rarely get anything against Wolves. The very definition of a bogey team

Architects of our own downfall again
Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
Neither side looked like goal getters. Our Christmasgift was enough..
Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
Jay Rod everywhere but central up front where the team needed him to play off.
Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
Yet again we cough up possession in our own half and pay the penalty. Vitinho takes the responsibility for that one along with Berge.

Created **** all
Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
Don't think we won a single second ball all night. No fight until the last tne minutes. Need better. Subs needed earlier. And man do we need a striker at the moment.

We need to stop cocking around at the back, the goals we are gifting with these errors are ridiculous.

It would be great to spoil someone else's party for once. Once we go behind it's tough, you need a player like tresor to come on and do something to change the game. Our bench is strong on paper but subs have rarely made an impact

They are but we've shown we haven't learnt nor that we are capable of putting up a 90 minute performance against a PL side.
