Last seasons VK team was better than anything served up under Dyche. This season.. I’m genuinely struggling to separate them. Being objective about it, Dycheball was more effective at this level.

Kompany play is so boring. Pass pass pass forward then back. Nothingness.

Dyche was get the ball in the box and havecplayers ready to fight for it. Prefer that for the unexpected outcomes.

Fine. I’ve not enjoyed watching this team playing in the Premier League this season. Losing game after game I find less than enjoyable. If you prefer it then good for you but I certainly don’t.

last season was easily the most exciting I've ever seen from a Burnley side, I was really hopeful going into this season although suspected we would massively struggle due to the lack of experience and physicality. I didn't expect the absolutely nonsensical transfer window in the summer and this season has been awful for the most part. You can't dress it up as anything other than majorly disappointing

The team we had in 2021/22 was one of the weakest collections of players the PL has seen in a number of recent years, with the exception of Pope, Tarks, Mee, McNeil and possibly one or two others.The fact we took it to the last game of the season before being relegated proves what a good job SD , followed by Mike Jackson, did that year. Everton this year are certainly not one of the most exciting set of footballers but SD has got them organised and they are hard to beat, as they showed again today v Villa which they could have won. With a bit more investment and with SD's experience we might never have got relegated. The last season under SD turned me against him,it was painful to watch, but having watched his management of Everton he has gone up in my estimation. I thought he was going to struggle in his next job in the PL but as shown he is now one of the strongest English managers in the Prem

How have you worked that out, it was basically the same squad that had done so well in the seasons before. I actually think it was one of the better teams to go down in recent years. We were a decent side that were just coming out on the wrong side of the fine margins.

You have answered your own question -"the same squad that did so well in the seasons before". The only difficulty being is we did not strengthen it, unless you include Stephens, Peacock Farrell, Cornet & Weghorse as key improvements. Where are all these guys now. Our players were getting older and less effective, coming to the end of their careers and we stood still in a Division where you cannot stay still. We simply extended contracts of ageing players rather than invest and strengthen.The season before relegation we finished 17th.

Id say Cornet was a big improvement to the squad and was our best outfield player in that season.
A team with Pope, Tarkowski, Mee, Cork, Mcneil, Cornet, Wood, Rodriguez as a spine should never have been relegated. Unfortunately complacency along with bad luck and a strange fixture schedule did for us
