Well, wondered why the analytics were showing a spike in traffic, so I'll briefly log in for the first time in six and a half years to say thanks for your kind words, all.

And also to point out that the newspaper I was referring to in the piece was The S*n and not the LET. I haven't read the latter in years, but I wouldn't want it tarred with the same brush as that nationwide stain on journalism.

Judging by other threads, I *think* I'm allowed to do the occasional publicity post. If not, let me know and I'll stop.

Part of the fun with doing this is starting in one direction and then finding it heading off into another one. Or maybe having a go at pundits is my distraction mechanism from talking about relegation.

Last one for the season though I have some stuff I’ll still be posting. Featuring an idea that I could off with a months writing and a fortnight’s practice. Except I had about four days and half an hour. Oh well. It’s not as if the Internet never forgets or anything.

I can't say I disagree that a season of competent/successful football would be welcome at the minute. Hopefully Parker will deliver that :D

Latest one. On why the money given to clubs by fans is irrelevant, before spiralling off into club finance and accounting tricks in general.

An excellent account, unusual but he’s right, this year could be a mirror image of last season with us on top but, if so, what awaits next year? All told not a very healthy situation, he makes you think!

Agreed another sound post and piece of advice. However social media has informed me today of 3 likely good signings which indicate rebuilding and Scott Parker’s rebuilding. The substitutes bench at Sunderland was a disgrace as bad as any of Stan Ternent’s. Thankfully the good ship Burnley is now returning to an even keel and is seaworthy again, long may it continue.
Anyhow I enjoyed your vlog, agree with most of it but why do you not like Scott Parker?

I've only said that I'm not convinced by him, not that I don't like him. Mainly because once out of the Championship - where he inherited good squads - it went wrong, quickly.

But I'm prepared to be convinced. In fact I really hope to be convinced, because wanting him to fail would be stupid. And so far, yep, so far, so good.

(An earlier video after his appointment - "The B stands for Boomerang" goes into it more. Although maybe I should rename that one to "The B stands for Bungee Cord" due to recent events.)

Jeez, give the guy a chance. He’s been here a matter of weeks and has a hell of a lot of sorting out to do. Things won’t settle down for a while.

Let’s worry about the PL if and when we ever get up again!

It's almost as if I spend time writing / saying paragraphs, only for people to look at sentences. Go off and watch all nine minutes.

Hell, there is a comment under the latest one about Benson when I say something like "VK presumably considered him not good enough for the Premier League and either Scott Parker thinks he's not good enough or Benson wants to leave anyway" which accuses me of saying he's not good enough.

The red card was 'as a result of unconscious bias in favour of the bigger club' is a gem of a quote! 😆 😆 😆

And 'Blackburn are us 15 years ago, celebrating a draw'. 😆

(Slightly paraphrased I know).

When it comes to Thomas Tuchel and football principles, the media ask lots of questions, but very, very carefully avoid the answers.
