Yeah, all the ones mentioned like Wright, Cole and Heath really showed the sobering difference in levels as they could still look a class above as they neared retirement and dropped down the leagues. McMin was a good shout also.

For us Defour was different as he wasn’t showing the lower leagues what they were missing, he was actually shining against the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and United albeit briefly.

Last home game of ‘08, 3-3. Purse sent off in added time for horrendous challenge. Purse would have been banned for the FA Cup final v. Portsmouth but the Welsh FA overturned the red, an outrageous decision in my view.

James Tarkowski, carried the team on his back for years, he's now doing the same at Everton where even the most fickle of fans appreciate the Great man.

This team of ours would be mid-table with him in it.
