I wonder if the poor standard has anything to do with the global travel they now do.
Going back in time the last fortnight before the Championship was practise, practise, practise.
Now they don’t have time.

This is like Palace vs Huddersfield in the FA Cup final. Rankings feel fairly accurate.

Both terrified of losing a big final, mistakes and bottle jobs aplenty. Luckily for them, one has to win.

I've stuck with the snooker.
Think it would have been more entertaining watching Manure get thumped though.

Come across as a couple of decent lads too.
But well done, Kyren.

Think because of the schedule its just becoming "another tournament" - of course everyone wants to win it but the days of because its long matches from day 1 the cream rises to the top has vanished. Kyren was the best player over the 17 days - if it started again today for 17 days he wouldn't win it. Last year Luca who has not won a single match at the crucible won it and this year 3/4 of the semi finalists were qualifiers. Jak Jones crucible campaign started 14th April 2024 !!!! The big Chinese "take over" (obviously not helped by the bans of several players) has not happened and there's not a stand out right now that looks like breaking through - there was a Chinese player in the qualifiers who said if he did not make the crucible (which he didn't) he was returning to china to go on their pool tour instead.
We have heard off Barry Hearn for the last 17 days about a bigger venue but he never addresses multiple empty seats EVERY session ? I was there for 2 days plenty of empty seats - is that because tickets are bought 12 months in advance ? please discuss Barry.................
The other thing is Mark King was suspended 14 months ago ?? try and find a statement from either World Snooker or Mark King regarding the outcome ?

I have watched bits of the tournament most days, but who's stupid idea is it to finish on a Monday night?

I would have watched the whole final to a finish on a Sunday night, just like I watch the golf.

Poorest final I've ever seen to be honest, the missed shots and poor positional play was beyond belief and very frustrating to watch.

Speaking of which, Gentleman Joe Perry best commentator on the box. Hopefully gets more airtime off the likes of Virgo and Taylor.

the tickets have got super expensive - the "premium" seats (rows 2 to 8) just in round 1 - 1st week round 1 - 2 tickets for 2 separate sessions so 4 in total - £506 (£126.50 per ticket) and you have to buy 12 months in advance !!!! The front 2 rows are for a century club package at £401.50 per ticket. The rest are around £55 per ticket but your chances are getting them are slim to none. Obviously they go more expensive once into round 2, last 16, quarter finals etc etc
