What if nobody turns up on Saturday?
You couldn't pay me to go to the game on Saturday.
which got me thinking, what if virtually nobody went out of protest at the opposition staying up even though they have officially cheated. What a bizzare situation.
How bad would that look on tv?

Or if everyone agreed to walk out at an agreed time, in protest.

I'd say it's extremely likely nobody will turn up on Saturday.

Re: What if nobody turns up on Saturday?
Pretty powerful if 20000 working class people walked out in the 1st minute. Particularly after Jones and Vars buffoonery in the first match.
But they’d just find a way to gloss over / ignore it because the “product” is more important

We could have a "backs to the pitch" moment.
90 minutes worth perhaps !!!

I feel bad admitting it but I’m 50/50 about whether I’ll bother on Sunday, hoping I change my mind later in the week but I’m currently not fussed as I have other things to be doing and enjoy a good Sunday lunch at that time

Re: What if nobody turns up on Saturday?
Really unclear, but if any Burnley fan is thinking about boycotting Turf Moor on Saturday then I doubt anyone will notice.
(You would have thought that the OP would at least have got that bit right if planning a meaningful protest.)

Re: What if nobody turns up on Saturday?
The OP obviously meant Sunday however it would look bad on TV but for the wrong reasons. It would just look like we've turned on our backs on our own team not Forest. There's literally no way you could convince me to boycott a game because of the opposition (and that even included the MK dons). Im a Burnley supporter and I watch and support my team. Nothing stops me doing thatburnley007 wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 9:05 amYou couldn't pay me to go to the game on Saturday.

What if everybody going to the match wore a blue glove and on 72 mins everyone removed it in unison and put it in their pockets. That would send a real message the Premier League and the footballing world

Re: What if nobody turns up on Saturday?
For those without a blue glove and unable to purchase one then I suggest painting your hand blue and going to the toilets on 72 mins to wash it off.
Good point about clarifying which hand as we dont want this to look stupid. I suggest everyone wears their left handed glove as thats a bit more defiant and will make the message even stronger

Sorry what shade of blue?
I don’t want to be wearing a sky blue one when everyone else is wearing royal
I’d look silly

Seriously, what kind of fans are you. I'll be there supporting my team in hospitality as always. Always champagne and a couple of freebies at the end of the season for a job well done.
Shame on you.

Clearly yet another thread started by someone who never goes near the place. So much so, that he couldn't even be bothered to check the fixture list. Mind you, he shouldn't need to. Sunday kick-offs for the final EPL fixtures are hardly a new thing.

It’ll be a smaller attendance. It’s bound to be be with the result making little difference to anything. Go if you want and don’t if you don’t want to. No need for a song and a dance about it either way.

We need 7 players minimum for the game to take place.
Here's hoping at least that number turn up.

I'm already looking forward to August, but Sunday's game stinks.

It'd be nice if we had banners proclaiming that relegation isn't that bad no VAR.

It's a time to act normal & stay respectful & classy whatever the result. Any other behaviourial response will just send out the message to the wider outside football world that we are bitter sore losers. It can't come soon enough for me so we can bid the wretched season goodbye.

1. We could go above Luton which puts an extra £3.2 million in our pockets rather than Luton's. (Very valuable as both teams plan for the Championship)
2. It would be really good to beat a club who have cheated their way to safety, just to prove a point. We deserve relegation irrespective, but beating them would be a small victory for us, and also raise morale as we go into the close season.

Speaking to Forest fans they're more concerned about moving to Toton than having a party.

How about one of those Marigold gloves (yellow) available from Tesco's (and no doubt many other chain and independent stores) ...cheap and cheerful...and bright enough to show up on the TV cameras.
