Tresor has had a bit of stick on here and other places online over the season. I never whether players involvement in projects like this are voluntary or expected as part of their role, but good to see him and Charlie getting involved in this.
Video in the first link, not sure if you need an account to view but has been shared by the Premier League.

Charlie has served the club well in his time here. Think he still has something to offer especially in the Championship.

Yes, but surely we should be building for our return to the Premier League next season, and none of Taylor, Jay Rod, Cork or Brownhill should be a part of this, especially as they will be amongst our highest earners.Silkyskills1 wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 4:48 pmCharlie has served the club well in his time here. Time to say a HUGE thank you and good bye in my opinion.

Re: Taylor and Tresor visit veterans project
At this present time we are still officially a premier league club & they are premier league players. There’s nothing stopping them or anybody else connected with BFC from getting involved & such involvement isn’t any sort of a clue they’ll be here next season. You are jumping to rash conclusions on the back of this.nil_desperandum wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 4:57 pmYes, but surely we should be building for our return to the Premier League next season, and none of Taylor, Jay Rod, Cork or Brownhill should be a part of this, especially as they will be amongst our highest earners.

I didn't say that they shouldn't. They are still under contract to us and -as such - ambassadors for the club.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 5:04 pmAt this present time we are still officially a premier league club & they are premier league players. As you might notice I was responding - politely - to the poster who wants Charlie to be part of next seasons plans (in the "Championship")
I didn't jump to any rash conclusions at all. I merely expressed my personal opinion that as they won't be PL standard in another 15 months, (when we hope to be back), we should now pat them on the back and build for the future. It's a valid opinion to hold, even if you disagree, which you are entitled to do.

Re: Taylor and Tresor visit veterans project
No problem with HUGE thankyou as long as a full back comes into the club better than him. Another championship club likely to get a bargain signing Charlie Taylor on a 'free'.

Re: Taylor and Tresor visit veterans project
The connection was established from the event taking place & Charlie taking part as if that meant he was part of the plans for next season. He might be obliged to or he might want to or the club might want him to or perhaps all 3 that isn’t a prelude for next season of course it might transpire that he does end up staying on but this event won’t signify that.nil_desperandum wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 5:11 pmI didn't say that they shouldn't. As is too often the case, posters get into a spat on issues totally unrelated to the original subject…
Calm down, boys.

Charlie Taylor imo is by far away the best full back in our squad

Totally agree. And equally as good at centre back if required. Sign him onDAVETHEVICAR wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 6:36 pmCharlie Taylor imo is by far away the best full back in our squad
Re: Taylor and Tresor visit veterans project
I was there and it was a pleasure to meet both of them. Please see attachment for the full list of what BFCitC offers to military veterans. If anyone has served in the Armed Forces and what's to get involved please contact us or come along.

Which doesn't make him good enough, or the right kind of left back for the way we play.DAVETHEVICAR wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 6:36 pmCharlie Taylor imo is by far away the best full back in our squad
We apparently 'scouted' 200 left backs last summer, which makes me think Kompany sees it as a problem area.
I can't imagine Taylor's done enough this season to shift that thinking, so I'd imagine we'll be looking again.
If he does re-sign it'll hopefully be as backup to an incoming player more in tune with the system.

Re: Taylor and Tresor visit veterans project
We scouted 200 left backs and couldn't find one but we are letting the one we do have go on a free? It makes no sense, I'm.hoping we just held off talks until the end of the season and he agrees a new deal next week.
An English left back with years of Premier league experience and still only 30 so probably 3 or 4 years left at a good level. It'd cost between 5 and 10 million to sign a player with those qualities. If we just give him away we really are daft

Spot on , we won’t be able to get a better full back than Charlie without paying big bucks
Was outstanding at Spurs in the last game against good opposition
