Raise a glass to Taffy
I confirmed on the thread that Taffy's funeral will take place a week tomorrow, 17th May, in South Wales.
However, some of his former team mates have arranged to have a drink in his memory. The following is from Phil Malley who played with Taffy at Burnley in the 1980s.

If I lived in Burnley, I'd certainly be going to that!

Re: Raise a glass to Taffy
I am friends with Phil on FB and read this a couple of days ago but wasn't sure whether to publicise this. In the replies to this post, Chris Pearce says he is going to try to go the funeral in Wales. Great to see former team mates of Taffy coming together in his memory.

In the 60's you had Jimmy McIlroy, the 70's gave us Leighton James, the 80's provided Trevor Steven.
Only Steven Defour has come anywhere near those three since.

You're missing one or two players out.
The 70's gave us a certain Martin Dobson. And despite his years, the great Keith Newton.

Managed to watch Taffy's funeral today. Some lovely words in a message from Dobo showed what his ex colleagues thought of him.
