Re: New kits.
It always seems strange how long it seems to get kits out now.
They have a very short shelf life so you’d think it would make business sense to get them available as early as possible.

Kits are designed for young people and yet they release them just as the 6 week school holidays are ending, surely sense would be to release them first week of JulyBordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 11:50 amIt always seems strange how long it seems to get kits out now.

Re: New kits.
Thanks
Re: New kits.
Black away kits are becoming a ‘thing’ for us. Had quite a few since the first one in 2014.
Re: New kits.
Am hoping for white shorts in the home kit,we seem to have a successful season when we are wearing them. Being greedy, hooped socks too please
Re: New kits.
I maybe wrong but if we've an all white away kit I can't see us wearing white shorts at home too unfortunately. White shorts and hooped socks should be on all our home kits
Re: New kits.
Will we still be our Claret and Blue?

Re: New kits.
If they look decent the club would be best getting these out on sale ASAP to give the fans some good news/feel good factor after what was a torturous season.

Re: New kits.
My mate who's got a box at Castore has just sent me this prototype. Apparently Pace's daughter has had quite a lot of input in next season's design.

Re: New kits.
I reckon they'd sell a fair few of those shorts if they sold them as boxer shorts / PJ's

I actually thought you had it right about the colour of the away and third kit, Rileybobs. Unless things have changed. Maybe CT is more up to date.

We order them though. Plenty of other teams manage to get them in for summer.

Exclusive preview of kit prototypes, premium seats at the production facilities with meal/bar etc, the usual kind of stuff.

Re: New kits.
Delay is always related to sponsors for clubs like us, we need to maximise income hence shopping around for deals. Clubs who can release new kits before the end of the current season (like Arsenal for example) don’t have to change shirt sponsors every year

Re: New kits.
I remember when they’d parade the new shirt at the last home game of the season. I’m sure they’d even occasionally wear it for the last game too.Bordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 11:50 amIt always seems strange how long it seems to get kits out now.

They could only do that if having the same supplier and sponsoragreenwood wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 7:38 pmI remember when they’d parade the new shirt at the last home game of the season. I’m sure they’d even occasionally wear it for the last game too.

Re: New kits.
Of course it’s in our hands, it doesn’t suit the kit sponsor for them to be so late.AGENT_CLARET wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 6:09 pmAnd plenty don't, yes we order them but again we don't make them it's not in our hands

Re: New kits.
I think the last time we did that was at the end of 2010/11 season when we wore next season’s Puma home kit in a 1-1 draw with Cardiff. Fun88 stayed on as sponsor, so as been referred to, it was much easier to get the kits out.agreenwood wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 7:38 pmI remember when they’d parade the new shirt at the last home game of the season. It really isn't in our hands we're the buyer not the maker and it's also got a lot to do with the sponsor change but you stick to what you believe if its an excuse to beat the club withdeanothedino wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 8:55 pmOf course it’s in our hands, it doesn’t suit the kit sponsor for them to be so late.

I’m not “beating the club” but if you think the club isn’t responsible for finding a sponsor and getting the kit sorted in good time then you’re being incredibly generous to them.AGENT_CLARET wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 6:21 amIt really isn't in our hands we're the buyer not the maker and it's also got a lot to do with the sponsor change but you stick to what you believe if its an excuse to beat the club with
Re: New kits.
Yes we had an all claret kit under Cotterill at home. I do like them as an alternative for an away game but just doesn’t sit well with me wearing it at home. Been too much chopping and changing of home shorts and socks in recent years.CharlieinNewMexico wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 1:38 amI remember Akinbyi in all Claret… 2006ish? The deal with Castore as a manufacturer was signed a long time ago.deanothedino wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 6:45 amI’m not “beating the club” but if you think the club isn’t responsible for finding a sponsor and getting the kit sorted in good time then you’re being incredibly generous to them.
The outreach for sponsorship across all team categories started at the start of the year. Expect the adults and kids sponsors to be different again.
