Manchester City in a low scoring Final.
Re: FA Cup Final
Red, can't stand benefactor clubs, that said wanting United to win isn't pleasant.

Re: FA Cup Final
I have many friends who are Man Utd fans from school in Salford back in the 1960's. No secret that they don't like Ten Haag but am just wondering if the game goes beyond them early it might spark yet another protest in the form of supporters leaving the ground early. Time will tell.

This. I would rather watch paint dry.

Finding it hard to muster much interest. Would definitely prefer United to win though.

And jus to think we all got really excited once upon a time on cup final day no matter who was playing
Re: FA Cup Final
Never understand why anyone would want a manufactured club (Man city) to win, but there you go.

Pep is clearly a great manager, but my lord his brand of football might be the most boring I have ever seen.

Each to their own. I’d rather my team were patient and probed for openings against a low block, than forced passes that weren’t on and got caught on the counter.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 3:21 pmPep is clearly a great manager, but my lord his brand of football might be the most boring I have ever seen.

We spent years bemoaning the inability of British to look after the ball on the highest stages. Now they can do it, it’s “boring”.

The only good thing about this final is that it’s being played at the traditional 3pm kick off

Re: FA Cup Final
Manufactured club? They are no more manufactured than any other club. They were founded years ago just like us.
I assume you mean a manufactured team? They are no more manufactured than any other team. They bought the players they field every week. It’s how much they have spent and where the money comes from that people have issue with, but if this was us, everyone would be loving it.

Re: FA Cup Final
The oversaturation of live football is one of the reasons why the FA Cup is no longer what it was. Also, the prioritisation of the riches of the EPL and Champions League.

There's not a whole lot British about Citeh though! 3 of the starting 11 today, foreign coaching staff, Arab owners etc etc.
I'm flitting between this match, the Scottish Cup Final, Golf in Belgium and Monaco GP trying to find something entertaining!

I find it mind numbing watching defenders pass it for 5 minutes to try and find a break through.
Much prefer watching Klopp, Pochetino style football. Fast attacking football is so much more entertaining

City way off it today. No edge to their play. Having said that United been very good and a lot better than anything I’ve seen from them this season.

If City pull one back early doors second half, I don't think they'll lose.
But they don't look remotely like scoring at the moment.
