Parker somehow feels worse than Scott Parker

Nixon says Parker is on the list. Lampard doesn't sound that bad all of a sudden.
Ha.. thought the same. Can only be a ruse to make Lampard seem like the better option, which to be fair really takes some doing.

I think I'd have Scott Parker over Lampard as bad as that sounds. No to either of them!

Hasn’t Parker been sacked from the 3 jobs he’s had?

Parker and Lampard have decent records in the Championship but the problem for me is that we need someone to come in and be a strong enough disciplinarian to sort out the sloppy mess that VK has left behind.

Neither of those two fit the bill there and that’s why I’m still hoping for a Cooper or Moyes appointment. I think I’m going to be disappointed.

Yeah but he's had 2 promotions from the Championship. That's not a bad record.

The Fulham one through play offs he should have walked it with their squad and then Bournemouth they spent a fortune in the Jan and nearly got pipped by coopers Forest. Massively failed in his two spells as a prem manager.

Another manager who can only do it with the biggest budget in the league

If that's that the case why don't we give Colin a call?

He got promoted mostly because he was in charge of clubs that were too good for Championship. He was awful in PL.

Not disagreeing - just saying that he's had two promotions.

Whoever takes the reins this time will have the biggest budget once again I'd imagine.

I can see why Parker has come up for consideration tbh but he’s not for me. Cooper remains the standout realistic candidate.

Cooper the obvious choice but I think they’ll go for a ‘bigger name’.

Please not Parker or Lampard .

I have a feeling that we will hear Van Nistelrooys name linked at some point

Scott Parker is a case study in the influence social media has on a manager’s reputation.

On paper, he’s not that bad. Not my favoured choice, but he’s younger that Steve Cooper and he’s had more promotions out of the Championship. Most folk wouldn’t bat an eyelid if we appointed Cooper.

Starting to get the impression that the likes of Parker are appearing on the list is because others (better managers) are turning us down.

Yeah, definitely. What with Kompany still not announced as the Bayern boss and it being a full 48 hours since the compo having been agreed, it really is time to panic and assume nobody wants our job.

The Burnley job will be a very attractive proposition for many coaches this summer .

Yes a bloated squad but this also has its positives….a big pool to chose from and some very capable players at championship level.

Parker in from 33/1 to 3/1 on Sky Bet. Maybe there’s something in this but I remember that Kompany wasn’t even in the betting. My money is still on OGS

Quite disrespectful for Burnley to be courting other managers whilst Kompany is still in his post.

The odds are utterly pointless. A tenner bet probably moves them significantly.

Apologies I misheard the pundit as I entered the room-you are right about the headline. Seems like him and Cooper mentioned in the article, but interestingly both journalists felt Cooper is a better fit for us on a coaching basis

Really hoping it’s Graham Potter, but him turning down jobs competing in Europe doesn’t suggest he’d be willing to drop to the Championship, even for a side expecting to bounce back.

I’m hoping Lampard is not considered significant.

Hopefully someone intervenes before its too late!
