His 1st start for us was his 1st start wasn't it, had a few sub apps for Espanyol. Understandably he's very raw and I do agree his end product needs to improve, a lot.
However, I saw enough last season to think we've potentially got a great player on our hands. A championship season should be great for his development.

I think he'll have an excellent career and hopefully we'll see a bit more of him yet. Still very young and a season in The Championship could be good for him.

Really good player, but no end product as yet. Would be great to keep him
My son bumped into him and his Dad in Manchester, got selfie and said he was super friendly and had lots of time for fans.

Just a few points...
1. He will have gone through a long lay off after a serious injury, so this will probably affect his ability. Certainly in his comeback games, hopefully not long term.
2. If he plays like he did at the start of last season, then championship clubs will identify him as a threat and get kicked from arseholes to breakfast
3. If he does run through defence like he did at times last season he will be snapped up in early January.

Unbelievable that some can pick a lot of holes in a 19 year old making his debut for a (crap) promoted side in one of the best leagues in the world. I thought he showed a lot of promise - certainly to be a major threat at this level.

He’s not even 20 yet. Thrown in at the deep end and showed some real talent / potential.
Exactly the sort of player that we should be holding on to, developing and helping to improve areas such as end product.
Flogging someone with his undoubted talent, at such an early stage, could be a costly error, unless a ridiculous bid with a hefty sell on percentage was to come in.

You want to see a complete re-set so you would sell every player?

He definitely looked probably the most likely one to have an impact on the PL out of last summer's signings and it was such a shame about the injury as I felt he was just getting into his stride. I hope we keep him and see if he can live up to his potential.

Kompanys complete reset didn’t work that well

It would not mean selling every player, more a return to a team with more leaders on the field, more cohesion and more discipline. One where I can easily recognise the strengths of the team. Last season I watched a group of individuals on the pitch who were not on the same wavelength half the time.
A new manager will help sort this out and a good number will need be sold , starting with those who think they are too good for the club.

I think he's exactly the player we need next season, as someone who'd hardly played any first class football before joining us, why would you not be excited to see him play and develop with us?
The only question mark is how he comes back from his injury

Yes , hopefully he will not be affected long term by the bad injury.
My earlier post recognised his strengths as a willingness to work hard and the ability to take men on and excite. So maybe I should question myself why I would not be that disappointed if he signed for someone else.
Maybe harsh but I don’t see him as being in a position to develop his poor end product in the time we have if we are to give it a real go at getting back to the top division soon.
You’ll likely disagree on Koleosho but next season we cannot afford to carry anybody

The lack of injury information seemed to start under dyche, players were ‘on the grass’ for months under dyche without any idea of what injury they had

Correct, and dyche was always after that extra %... If that meant not allowing the opposition the slightest clue, then good.
Nowadays it's seen as an insult to the fans, what's changed?

When things are going wrong like they did the majority of last season, the little things like not knowing about injuries that where happening during the good dyche years get brought up as a negative.
Don’t think kompany helped by saying in one of his pressers that he had been advised by the club to not talk about injuries

I didn’t say it was a problem that we don’t hear about them, I don’t really care, I said we didn’t hear it under dyche to.
Kompany made a point of saying around January being advised to not speak about injuries which gives people on here the chance to have a moan

Eh? It doesn’t bother me either way to hear about them or not but what I’m saying is people for some reason jumped on the fact we don’t hear about them and that comment about being advised not to speak about them gave people the chance to moan even more

Ok. I'm sorry I didn't really get what you were saying.
My take on it: some people would have moaned at just about anything VK said or did, or didn't say or do

And things are always amplified when it’s not going well, we never got an official word in Harwood bellis injury in Jan 23 but because it was going so well nobody minded

This obsession people have with the nature of injuries is weird. What difference does it make to us, we can’t affect it at all, go and watch and support the lads who can play. It’s their confidential business about their medical issues, just butt out. They’ll be back when they’re ready.

So if we start the first game with 11 Youth Team players, you wouldnt want to know why ? You'd just shrug your shoulders and say who is and who isnt available to play is "confidential " ?

Ha ha - we were told Koleosho’s injury was NOT season ending. We weren’t told anything about Al-Dakhil, when directly asked he refused to say what Ramsey’s injury was and then there was Beyer.

For all we know koleosho might of been close but not worth risking same with Beyer
We where told Tarky had a toe injury that lasted the length of time of the transfer windows, you can dislike the way things at the club are done now without thinking everything previous was all prim and proper.
After defours first injury we had no idea of the constant injuries after that until he finally left.
The countless injuries Brady and JBG had.
Being told they are on the grass is as useful as saying nothing

If he stays , I’d imagine he will indeed be a whirlwind at champ level ,though while he’s very fast his finishing and general naivety is a concern. He’s coming up 20 at start of season so hopefully a touch more mature .

You have to have some balance, I I’m extremely critical of the new way the club does things but everything wasn’t perfect before

Think he will be better than Odobert
The way he played the world cup Argentinian right back in the first half at Nottingham still stands out from last season for me

Picking holes or adding balance when some folk are getting a tad carried away? I sincerely hope our coaching team are acknowledging and working on his weaknesses. It's perfectly fair to say that his end product is not there yet. If anything the fact he's got loads of room for progression makes him even more exciting for me.

Ha ha - we were told Koleosho’s injury was NOT season ending. We weren’t told anything about Al-Dakhil, when directly asked he refused to say what Ramsey’s injury was and then there was Beyer.
Beyer is lucky to be walking again after ‘apparently’ being rushed back by junior medical staff the club employed at the start of last season after getting rid of a majority of more senior staff.
An ex employee was telling me that under dyche and VK’s first season the number of days all the squad had off with injuries was 300-600 per year.
Last season it was 2000 plus .

Really looking forward to seeing Koleosho next season. The lad has got real talent. Hopefully he will be fully recovered in time for the start of the season.

I’m not so sure he was ‘junior’.

Maybe not the individual but from what I’ve heard off a very decent source is the current medical team are clueless. Maybe it’s sour grapes but the numbers of Injuries can’t be coincidence. A lot of them acl / knee complications

Wouldn’t say acl injuries are due to an inexperienced medical team. Under dyche, vokes, marney, barnes, Brady and Defour all had serious knee injuries

Worth a read of Beyer’s perspective on it. Doesn’t reference being rushed back (any more so than he wanted to be), and sounds like a lot of effort was taken by the club to get him specialist advice and a diagnosis.

Who are the current medical team? I’ve not heard of any changes in that department and most are well documented on here!

Just relaying from what I’ve been told off an ex employer of the club. I’ve absolutely no idea who’s on the staff now but they do have an extensive back room team and there was a lot of changes last summer.

That was over 9 years , think we’ve had Beyer, redmond, Ramsey, koleosho, agyei , and Joe Bauress this season alone.

Vokes, Barnes, marney, Brady, Defour all happened in a 2 year period not 9 years.
The point I’m making is serious injuries are mainly freak incidents not due to the medical team.
The medical team aren’t at fault for the way Ramsey landed against Arsenal or the impact of the clash koleosho had at wolves.
I had heard that Beyer wasn’t happy about being rushed back however
