jedi_master wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2024 4:24 pmYou just never know with managers and I get the inherent risk in RVN but something about it excites. Maybe I am being carried by Ruud the player with that, I can’t tell. I think it would excite the fanbase and get that ‘summer of 2022’ feeling back, which has definitely been eroded with what’s happened since promotion.
One way or another I just want a man in now. There is so much to sort out and I think it’s vital the appointment is done ASAP now that the players are back tomorrow.
I’d be excited with RVN as well, just as I was with Kompany.
That being said, I’d still have been happy with Lampard for the same reasons.

Re: Next manager
In football as in many forms of employment nothing is certain until employer and employee have signed a legally binding contract.
Even Alan Pace wont know who our next manager will be until the contract has been signed.

Re: Next manager
I’ve got a busy day tomorrow so if they could put Ruud up in the Keirby no expense spared Monday night then get him to the Royal Dyche for a tea time Tuesday announcement and then he can watch the England game with us and promise to never play that way, that’d be good for meeastcoastclaret wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2024 5:54 pmCould you have a word and see if they can rush it through in 18hrs.

It’s not Bellamy or LampardIt Is What It Is wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2024 4:00 pmNot at all cos RVN is not coming to Turf Moor.
We are Burnley...a championship team, not a Global entity like Utd and RVN logically will jump at the opportunity to further his career at OT. RVN is a Utd legend and James Radcliffe is a huge fan of him so......it's back to Bellamy/Lampard and a ghost we don't know about yet.
Re: Next manager
Here you are again.
You have been implying it’s Thierry Henry so you can give up the act now. If that’s the case and you think it’s Henry, it will be interesting seeing him manage at the Olympics while we prepare for the Championship season.

Re: Next manager
I’ve not implied it’s anyone; but there’s so much sh!t spouted on this message board that it’s laughable. Absolute uproar when it was ‘definitely’ Lampard, now we’re linked with a sulky Dutchman who I doubt Pace would touch with a barge pole and he’s suddenly the savour of Burnley.
After over 100 pages of absolute drivel shall we just leave it to Pace and the board to make their decision and announce to us fans as and when they see fit

Not a single word from Andy jones or Matt from Burnley express either about the news yet Romano and sacha supposedly have the news.
Has Andy jones ever broke a story?

You are doing the exact opposite to ‘leaving it to pace’ by coming on here and waffling on that you know who it is.Suntan wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2024 7:17 pmI’ve not implied it’s anyone; but there’s much sh!t spouted on this message board that it’s laughable. Re: Next manager
Instead of coming on here with your confident cryptic ‘it’s either someone employed or at the euros and it’s not someone at the euros

Or ‘it’s not Bellamy or Lampard’
Why don’t you have the confidence to come on here and say who it is then

You now claiming we wouldn’t touch RVN.
I never claimed anything, my personal opinion that I doubt Pace would want to have to deal with the trouble that follows RVN.

You did claim it was either a manager employed or working the Euros and said here’s a clue they aren’t working at the euros
So come on mr in the know tan have the confidence to back yourself and say who it is, instead of coming on here and talking nonsense.

My hobby is following BFC not writing on a message board
And as I’ve stated previously I don’t think it’s my place to make an announcement on the new manager, we have a PR department who get paid to do that

It’s not your hobby to write on a message board but you will happily say ‘let’s narrow it down it’s not someone from the euros’
You are confident enough to waffle stuff like that but won’t say who it is.
You have absolutely no idea and have a weird hobby acting like you have inside info
