That half was nearly as bad as watching England.

No real focal point up front. Adams can't do it.

Might help if they actually got up the pitch a bit.
Re: Euro 2024
On BBC2 they just said they were going to bring you the highlights of Scotland v Hungary but there aren't any.

Re: Euro 2024
The Scottish female pundit just said that Scotland 'need to fix a few bits and pieces'. What does that mean? Who are these people and what are their credentials? Lyndon Dykes on now and he is just trotting out a bibliography of worn out clichés.

A piece is Scottish slang for a sandwich

Re: Euro 2024
This referee is so bad. Yellow card for Mctominay for a nothing challenge. Very petty.

Re: Euro 2024
Over stretching after a mis-control, fairly standard yellow.
Re: Euro 2024
Best bit about this game is the scottish crowd singing the national anthem

Re: Euro 2024
Scotland need to bring on a centre-forward, probably at the cost of a defensive midfielder, if they are to get anything more than a point out of this game.

Re: Euro 2024
Seems really incongruous announcing a VAR penalty check.
Re: Euro 2024
Weird one. He just seemed to dive forward and nobody touched him. Must have landed awkwardly. Penalty check but nothing to see.

Re: Euro 2024
Surprised the directors showed the replay, wouldn’t have been shown on UK coverage. He was clearly unconscious so I can’t believe how long it took paramedics to get on.
Re: Euro 2024
No idea what happened, hopefully the lad is okay. Didn’t seem to be any contact?

Re: Euro 2024
Serves Armstrong right for looking for a pen by kicking his leg back. Should have just scored.

Re: Euro 2024
How the hell can the ref not use VAR to check for a penalty. This ref is crap or biased.
Re: Euro 2024
After seeing the replay, I'm very surprised that wasn't given.

Re: Euro 2024
Because it was never a penalty. Armstrong mistimed his touch with the ball and messed up the chance so threw his leg backwards into the defender.

Re: Euro 2024
They might not have the skill of the English team but on the last couple of performances Scotland batter them for passion and pride in the shirt
Re: Euro 2024
OK 2 for and 2 against so far. And we wonder why VAR can't always get it right.

It's about his usual entry time.
Re: Euro 2024
Modern football is pretty boring 90% of the time. Tippy tappy passing the ball around sideways backwards but very rarely forward. Forget possesion football and bring back the Steve Kindons and Leighton James that could take a man on and beat him.

Germany making a great stab at throwing the game so as to get England in the QF instead of Spain.
Southgate’s luck appears to be running out.

Maybe the ref saw Armstrong with a fistful of the Hungarian defenders shirt.

Don’t agree at all. Football today is by far much more entertaining than it ever was, in my recollection as least.
Re: Euro 2024
The last 10 mins of this game have been better than the whole 90 mins.
