Styles for Hungary, released by Burnley at 16. Well I never knew that!
Tidy enough in this game.

The Scots far too slow in getting forward.

No real focal point up front. Adams can't do it.

The Scottish female pundit just said that Scotland 'need to fix a few bits and pieces'. What does that mean? Who are these people and what are their credentials? Lyndon Dykes on now and he is just trotting out a bibliography of worn out clichés.

This referee is so bad. Yellow card for Mctominay for a nothing challenge. Very petty.

I think he's had a better game than any of the players; but that was a weird decision.

Over stretching after a mis-control, fairly standard yellow.

Scotland need to bring on a centre-forward, probably at the cost of a defensive midfielder, if they are to get anything more than a point out of this game.

Weird one. He just seemed to dive forward and nobody touched him. Must have landed awkwardly. Penalty check but nothing to see.

Surprised the directors showed the replay, wouldn’t have been shown on UK coverage. He was clearly unconscious so I can’t believe how long it took paramedics to get on.

It was hard to tell from the view shown but he may have caught an elbow or something in the sweet spot.

Serves Armstrong right for looking for a pen by kicking his leg back. Should have just scored.

How the hell can the ref not use VAR to check for a penalty. This ref is crap or biased.

Because it was never a penalty. Armstrong mistimed his touch with the ball and messed up the chance so threw his leg backwards into the defender.

Modern football is pretty boring 90% of the time. Tippy tappy passing the ball around sideways backwards but very rarely forward. Forget possesion football and bring back the Steve Kindons and Leighton James that could take a man on and beat him.

Germany making a great stab at throwing the game so as to get England in the QF instead of Spain.

Southgate’s luck appears to be running out.
