Personally I would rather Alan Pace et al took as long as they need to do their due diligence and identify the right person to be our next manager rather than pick anyone yet just because 123EasyasBFC is spamming for attention and a few of the non-international players are back in pre-season.

Hold on a second why am I being singled out here, I haven’t been questioning the process of how long it’s taken, I’ve been questioning the accounts claiming the know what’s going on.

That is the type of attitude that has been harbouring within the support ever since the take over and as such, they have never given them a chance. Comments like that are in my opinion completely unacceptable.

I don't care where they come from, I care about the leveraged buyout and the mountain of debt we're now in - all designed to benefit ALK, not BFC.

Some interesting news from the Breakfast Launch yesterday, if you believe it:

- lots of interest and managers still contacting the club, including some in current contracts with other clubs, which hasn't gone done well with the BFC after VK scenario.

I don't really understand this statement from the club.

Are they saying they believe you are only allowed to apply for a job while being unemployed?

Does that also mean we have only been considering unemployed coaches/managers?

Surely to get the best man for the job, we should be looking down all avenues?

I genuinely don't think we're struggling. I think Pace had a feeling that it might take a while due to a number of factors (lots of vacancies, the Euros etc) and appointed Bellamy and Jackson in all likelihood that they'd kick-off pre-season.

I think if Sacha's tweet is right and we're looking at appointing next week then that fits in with the timescales I'd had mentioned to me from different people - final talks with a few people this week (and yes, Parker is apparently among them!) and then an offer at some point over the weekend.

There's certainly been no shortage of interest from people wanting the job by all accounts but I think the board/ownership were stung by how the VK reign ended that they're taking their time.

(And most people will know I'm not in the habit of defending/giving the benefit of the doubt to Pace/ALK!)

I dont think it will be hurt feelings, more a business type decision where you look at ways to stop things happening again. That will take time and will also be dependant on the person they are potentially looking at and his history

I can answer this one. There have been lots of candidates considered which took time, holidays/availability will have no doubt played a part and finally when we were close to appointing they had their head turned by an ex employer leaving us unable to appoint

Added to that, if RVN had been offered, then presumably the other candidates had been told they had not been successful. If that's the case, do we now have to go back to them, with them knowing they weren't first choice? Or is it a new search because none of the others on the shortlist did enough to impress?

Any business owner with an ounce of sense would never do that when trying to employ someone... Always keep your options open until a contract has been signed... That is basic 'week one' knowledge at business school!

In fairness you don’t need to be a YouTuber to realise that these have been the 2 names at the head of the betting market for several days now. The market that everyone pounces on to say that it is totally unreliable and can’t be trusted.

It was more of a case of he posted yesterday when the article said Bellamy and Parker are still in contention and viezh was basically saying it was between those 2, I for one really hope it’s not between those two.

Article in FOOTBALL INSIDER, just now saying RVN is very much still in the frame for the Burnley manager vacancy, and goes on to state that it may be more appealing to him than an assistant coach, despite it being his former club Man Utd. On hols with poor WIFI so cannot attach. For me this one is not dead yet and gives me renewed hope for RVN to be appointed soon
