Personally I would rather Alan Pace et al took as long as they need to do their due diligence and identify the right person to be our next manager rather than pick anyone yet just because 123EasyasBFC is spamming for attention and a few of the non-international players are back in pre-season.
Hold on a second why am I being singled out here, I haven’t been questioning the process of how long it’s taken, I’ve been questioning the accounts claiming the know what’s going on.
Totally uncalled for to single me out here

That is the type of attitude that has been harbouring within the support ever since the take over and as such, they have never given them a chance. Comments like that are in my opinion completely unacceptable.
I don't care where they come from, I care about the leveraged buyout and the mountain of debt we're now in - all designed to benefit ALK, not BFC.
Being American has nothing to do with it.

Some interesting news from the Breakfast Launch yesterday, if you believe it:
- lots of interest and managers still contacting the club, including some in current contracts with other clubs, which hasn't gone done well with the BFC after VK scenario.
I don't really understand this statement from the club.
Are they saying they believe you are only allowed to apply for a job while being unemployed?
Does that also mean we have only been considering unemployed coaches/managers?
Surely to get the best man for the job, we should be looking down all avenues?

I genuinely don't think we're struggling. I think Pace had a feeling that it might take a while due to a number of factors (lots of vacancies, the Euros etc) and appointed Bellamy and Jackson in all likelihood that they'd kick-off pre-season.
I think if Sacha's tweet is right and we're looking at appointing next week then that fits in with the timescales I'd had mentioned to me from different people - final talks with a few people this week (and yes, Parker is apparently among them!) and then an offer at some point over the weekend.
There's certainly been no shortage of interest from people wanting the job by all accounts but I think the board/ownership were stung by how the VK reign ended that they're taking their time.
(And most people will know I'm not in the habit of defending/giving the benefit of the doubt to Pace/ALK!)

It's a shame but no surprise if the search for a new manager is being limited by Pace's hurt feelings. That said, I don't think there's any reason for concern that it's taken as long as it has.
There may be some reason for concern that we will appoint a bad or unsuitable manager, but we can cross that bridge when we come to it.

Like I said we are struggling and all the time the season is getting closer,no way are we going to be ready,we will struggle this season whoever is in charge now
What’s the struggle if they’ve had shed loads of applicants, been spending time interviewing them and were about to offer?
Surely struggling would have been appointing Bellamy 3 weeks ago due to a lack of applicants

I dont think it will be hurt feelings, more a business type decision where you look at ways to stop things happening again. That will take time and will also be dependant on the person they are potentially looking at and his history

I can answer this one. There have been lots of candidates considered which took time, holidays/availability will have no doubt played a part and finally when we were close to appointing they had their head turned by an ex employer leaving us unable to appoint
Added to that, if RVN had been offered, then presumably the other candidates had been told they had not been successful. If that's the case, do we now have to go back to them, with them knowing they weren't first choice? Or is it a new search because none of the others on the shortlist did enough to impress?

Any business owner with an ounce of sense would never do that when trying to employ someone... Always keep your options open until a contract has been signed... That is basic 'week one' knowledge at business school!

We’ve interim management in place for this eventuality and pretty much a full backroom staff, think we’ll be ok for now.
Appears it’s you who is struggling.

In fairness you don’t need to be a YouTuber to realise that these have been the 2 names at the head of the betting market for several days now. The market that everyone pounces on to say that it is totally unreliable and can’t be trusted.
But if a YouTuber comes up with the same 2 names well now you’re talking.

It was more of a case of he posted yesterday when the article said Bellamy and Parker are still in contention and viezh was basically saying it was between those 2, I for one really hope it’s not between those two.

Look like Man Utd have sorted another coach out, maybe RVN has said no to them ( hopefully )
On Sky Sports Football
'Go Ahead Eagles boss Hake to join Man Utd coaching staff'
Go Ahead Eagles boss Rene Hake will join Manchester United's coaching staff next season, according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano.
Hake, who has been in charge of the Eredivisie side for the past two seasons, will reportedly be a new addition to Erik ten Hag's staff.
It is also claimed ex-Man Utd striker Ruud van Nistelrooy will also become a new member of Ten Hag's coaching staff.

If the club owners put half the amount of time and effort into finding a new manager as some posters on here put into posting about it I’m sure we’d be golden.

To be fair on easy, he is not actually calling out people who come on here and state something as a rumour or something that they have heard .
I think it's more the people who come on acting all mysterious and ITK passing what they say off as gospel.
I must admit, they have been taking it to heart and being a bit overboard the last day or so but it is annoying.

Article in FOOTBALL INSIDER, just now saying RVN is very much still in the frame for the Burnley manager vacancy, and goes on to state that it may be more appealing to him than an assistant coach, despite it being his former club Man Utd. On hols with poor WIFI so cannot attach. For me this one is not dead yet and gives me renewed hope for RVN to be appointed soon

I’d heard games against Celtic, Rangers, Newcastle and Barnsley. Maybe a load of rubbish though.
Apparently Celtic and Rangers are part of a 3 team tournament with ourselves...

Shouldn’t we be going out actively seeking a manager rather than seeing who applies.
I presume we have.

Absolutely not. I want somebody that really wants the job, not somebody we have persuaded.

I very much doubt Rangers and Celtic would play each other pre-season.

The preseason plan under VK was to go abroad. Sounds like that's changed from what other posters have said.

And Fabrizio has posted at 18:45

Exclusive story confirmed: Man United will add Ruud van Nistelrooy and René Hake from Go Ahead Eagles to their new backroom staff.
Erik ten Hag will sign new contract in the next days, all agreed and 100% done as revealed earlier this week.

So who knows what’s going on
