If you’re discussing who we keep in the squad it could be a really long episode ……
Had the chat with a pal the other day and more players just spring to mind from nowhere it’s unbelievable how many we have at the moment .

Same, i'd forgotten all about the likes of BPF, Delcroix and Egan Riley until i saw them mentioned on here. Serious clearout needed.Hedontplayforyou wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 8:27 pmIf you’re discussing who we keep in the squad it could be a really long episode ……

Did you go as a group? I've got this image of 4 blokes with Lancashire accents on the beach replete in Tom Daley's, flat caps and wellies grumbling about the heat and VK tactics.Ightenhill_Claret wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 8:19 pmWe’re back this Friday! I’ve not tried it but would assume Amazon Music (free version) has car play support.

I think Apple Podcasts works on CarPlay - I know a lot of people use that without any hassle. Also Spotify (think you can access the podcast on there with the free version.

We are on the hunt for sponsors/advertisers for the podcast so if anyone/any local businesses you know fancy some cost-effective advertising/sponsorship opportunities then just drop a message on here or via our DMs (@BeeHolePodcast on X).
Loyal audience, decent listenership (we often hit 2,000-2,500 listens per episode) and regularly in the top 100 UK football podcast charts! (And currently number 190th in the Thailand Soccer Podcasts chart!)

Listening at 1.25 speed is a must. It helps bring Chris Boden up to a reasonably normal speed!Ightenhill_Claret wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2024 1:23 pmI think Apple Podcasts works on CarPlay - I know a lot of people use that without any hassle. Re: Brilliant New Burnley Podcast
Chris Boden has completely lost the plot on this podcast. His rant about the appointment the new assistant first team coach was just pathetic. It's obvious what has gone on. Kompany chose him, club agrees to bring him in. Kompany then jumps ship and club keep to their word and obligations and bring him in. Boden describes that as "bizarre". I enjoy the podcast but find it annoying that nobody ever disagrees with one another and when somebody is spouting complete nonsense they don't get called out on it.

Re: Brilliant New Burnley Podcast
I got the impression Chris missed the fact Jensen is assistant first team coach and not assistant manager.
For some context in the Dyche era Jensen would be Tony Loughlan's right hand man. NOT Dyche"s.
Roles can change of course but there's also differences in American terminology vs British.
In the US the manager (or general manager) is the director of football.
The head coach is the manager.
So the set up will likely be
Head coach
Assistant head coach
First team coach
Assistant first team coach (Jensen)
It's also not unusual to have more than one assistant. So you could have a 2nd assistant head coach and a 1st assistant head coach.
Not saying the owners will mimic this exactly but I hope it clears up some confusion with his appointment. I expect the setup will be a hybrid between the two. Things aren't quite as structured as they used to be in football but that's probably a good thing. The more power one person has the harder continuity is... Usually at least.

I'll give this a bump and in the words of the famous songsmith Sir Phil of Lynott - The Boys are Back in Town Get your ....erm...Podcast here ...kind of thing.
Lots of sense talked here, and I have the sense that the Pod Squad will not have to spend the season thrashing around for something positive to say in the face of nothing positive to say. A bit of a relief to all I would guess.

Re: Brilliant New Burnley Podcast
Is the 'Ya know' an in-joke to say as many times as possible?
I like listening to this and Turfcast, as it's Burnley related, although it can be a tough listen.
Ya know, who is, ya know, the bloke, that er ya know, struggles to ya know string a sentence together ya know and, ya know then changes what was being said ya know. If, ya know, it makes any ya know, sense at all?
One of the others tends to say 'Absolutely!' once he's finished.
Other than that... great
I listen to it and with the 2 podcasts being totally different I think they compliment each other well.

Pleased we’ve started the season well, but also disappointed that it’s less likely we’ll get a rant or cutting remark from Woody, the real star of the pod.

Not sure about this new theme tune. They’ve commented it sounds like New Order when in reality it’s just like the intro to the Macarena

Re: Brilliant New Burnley Podcast
To purchase tickets for away games, every fan in the order has had to have the correct level of points for quite a while. Think it might have arrived post EPL when everyone initially wanted to go to all the big grounds. That did wane for the EPL but recently in the Championship demand has been relatively high because it has been a good laugh and we've been excellent. The new bullshit level is just to fleece people.
