Shirts were released at £55 last season.

Anyone else got the urge to biro Luca's arm with "= VI" to complete his tattoo?

Shirt is fine. No issues with the shirt sponsor although I always think the back of the shirt sponsors look naff regardless of who it is.
Wish they’d stop playing about with the home sick colour though. Either white or proper hoops.

The print reminds me of these two recent-ish offerings:

I think it's a decent Burnley kit, especially without sponsor. I can't help but chuckle at the marketing drivel on the official site though, about it being 'a homage to the famous Longside '.

I like it, but they can shove the MASSIVE sponsorship logo. I'm not going to pay good money to look like a walking advert.

Using the all-claret crest on the home shirt without any fan input is appalling. The home shirt should NEVER have anything other than a full-colour traditional badge. **** about with it on away and third kits, but not the home. That's our heritage that.

Just don't, and then if everyone follows suit, maybe they'll do something about prices in future.

Just seen the back of the shirt
How low are the names & numbers going to look with that sponsor being there?

Yep! a simple claret trim on the sleeve makes the difference. Taking the yellow out of the Logo is a little better too.

Re: New home kit today
Have I got this right or is a kids shirt the same price as an adults.
Child £50
Adult £50 + £10 VAT.
If I’m right then kids shorts and socks are more expensive than the adults.

Looks great, particularly like the badge colourings, and the blue socks are cool.

On hooped socks; I’ve got a feeling that they’re not allowed anymore. We know that opposing teams have to wear different coloured socks to help officials to identify each team easily and that players have to wear matching coloured tape. I suspect that there is a regulation that socks must be predominantly one colour, and to my knowledge this seems to be the case across other team’s kits. Unless someone knows otherwise?

The only stipulation is that the two teams require different coloured socks.Rileybobs wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 5:41 pmOn hooped socks; I’ve got a feeling that they’re not allowed anymore. I think West Ham had full hooped socks last season. As for the kit I like the look of it. Especially after last seasons awful kit. There’s no surprise that there is a sponsor or the price. I’ll wait for the sales as usual. Imagine buying 2 of them for £120.

Is that for definite as no doubt there will be a whole load of guidelines for kits.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 5:43 pmThe only stipulation is that the two teams require different coloured socks.
If the only requirement is that socks have to be a different colour then I can see why hoops are avoided anyway as two teams with hooped socks are likely to clash.

In fact £87 for full junior kit. £174 for two. I’m out.

I think you're right Tony
Taking VAT into account, not charged on clothing meant for 14yo or less
Adults vs Junior
Shirts £50 & £50
Shorts £22.40 & £24
Socks £12 & £13
And charging £50 for a baby kit that 100% doesn't include VAT is just bonkers

So I’m right, they are charging more for a child’s full kit than an adults. That’s shameful.Roosterbooster wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 5:58 pmI think you're right Tony

One positive is that infant kits go up to 7-8 years, I think £50 for a full kit aged 7-8 is great value

VAT is 20% on adult clothing but is zero on kids clothing.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 6:03 pmI have bought the £50 and haven’t been charged VAT on top
So if you buy a junior shirt at £50 you are paying the club £50 for it. If you buy an adult shirt at £60 you are paying the club £50 and paying £10 VAT.

The point is that the adult ones include VAT. So to work our what the actual price is, you need to take away 20% from the adult prices

It’s fine.
The sponsor is too big but it somehow looks worse without it.
I won’t be buying as I’m a grown man etc etc

But it’s still costing more, if I went to the club shop and bought an adult shirt or junior shirt, I would walk out £10 better off being the junior oneRoosterbooster wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 6:13 pmWhy would you be charged VAT on top?

It’s not bad at all, especially without sponsor option. The only caveat is that I would like to see the claret a tad further over the shoulder. Any advantage on incorrect handball decisions is always a positive?
