Re: General Info - Luton (a)
The morrisons car park is the nearest safe parking I think.
Last season we parked in the train station car park for 3 quid all night.
About 25 minute walk away (10 mins past Morrisons).
No away pubs and not many places to eat around the ground.

Re: General Info - Luton (a)
Lots of parking at Power Court (where Luton plan to build their new ground) which is around 20 min walk from the ground. No pubs around the ground but there is a large Wetherspoons on Bridge Street in the town centre. Last time I went in there for the 1-0 Ashley Barnes penalty victory game was a mix of home and away fans with no issues. I have also been in Beech Hill Conservative Club which is a short walk up Leagrave Rd on a match day before now but that was when Luton were either non-league or 4th Division about 10 years ago and I was with a Luton fan, so may have changed somewhat since then.

Re: General Info - Luton (a)
I parked at Sainsbury’s last time, paid for my spot via a website someone recommended on here.
Had a beer in the town centre, not much to do and a really poor away day in terms of fan experience.

Definitely away pubs. Can’t remember the name, but come out of the shopping centre, turn left and at the top of the high street, there are at least two.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 7:18 pmThe morrisons car park is the nearest safe parking I think.

The away entrances are on Oak Road - which is also where away coaches are parked on the day, and they remain there.
Turnstiles open 90 mins before kick-off.

Burnley supporters...don’t forget to keep your eyes out for our familiar travelling safety stewards at Luton Town!
The stewards are Abbas Iqbal, Asim Nawiaz, Qasim Nawiaz and Matthew Ragnall.
You’ll spot them, as always, in their red jackets with Burnley badges.
They’re there to help and support YOU if you need them - or just a regular, friendly face to keep you reassured and answer any questions you may have!

Re: General Info - Luton (a)
Last couple of times most of the pubs seemed to be no away fans before the match but fine afterwards.burnleytom wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 8:22 pmDefinitely away pubs. Can’t remember the name, but come out of the shopping centre, turn left and at the top of the high street, there are at least two.
The big Wetherspoons is away friendly.
Re: General Info - Luton (a)
Beech Hill Conservative Club as mentioned above is a good shout and just a few minutes walk from the away turnstiles.
We went in there on both of our last 2 games at Luton and were made very welcome. On both occasions it was 50/50 with Luton and Burnley fans inside the club.
I seem to recall they charge non members £1 to go in, but beer prices are quite reasonable.

Re: General Info - Luton (a)
Hottest day of the year on Monday expected with peak of 33 down south. Looks like it’ll be around 28 by 8pm kick off. Maybe playing in 40 degrees last week was all part of the master plan.

Re: General Info - Luton (a)
The area around Kenilworth Road doesn’t really facilitate pubs, plenty of places to get food though if you’re willing to be adventurous (and if not, there’s a KFC). The bar I. The ground is actually pretty good and is like a pub, probably the best you’ll get anywhere near the ground.
Personally, I love the away day experience in The Oak Road and will miss the girl when she’s gone. My 13 year old lad loves it too - it’s places like Kenilworth that we’ll reminisce about when we’re all stood / sat in identikit Lego grounds. In my opinion - I appreciate it’s probably not ideal for the elderly or infirm.
