Evening Buses
Evening Buses
It looks like extra bus services will be running during the week which should help evening games.
10.20pm from Burnley to Rawtenstall, while several updates to the timetable are expected in future to boost reliability. All fares after 7 pm are £1.

Re: Evening Buses
Later buses for evening games will be very welcome, although the 10.20pm from Burnley to Rawtenstall is not the X43 route via Manchester Road, Loveclough and Crawshawbooth.giveusaB wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2024 11:20 amIt looks like extra bus services will be running during the week which should help evening games.

Anyone living in those areas will still have the same problem trying to get home after a weeknight game.
I think the last X43 service is around 9.45pm during the week, no good at all for fans wanting to stay until the final whistle for 7.45pm kick offs.

Re: Evening Buses
Indeed. I suspect that they wont do a later x43 on match days as the return leg from Manchester would arrive past midnight which i'd expect would trigger overtime / extra pay for the drivers.Targetman wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2024 12:29 pmLater buses for evening games will be very welcome, although the 10.20pm from Burnley to Rawtenstall is not the X43 route via Manchester Road, Loveclough and Crawshawbooth.

They could maybe do a Burnley/Rawtenstall late bus if demand is there.Any fare is £2.

Re: Evening Buses
How about suggesting the last Manchester bus leaves at 1030 via Rawtenstall
This early time for last bus departure is very poor in this day and age

Some should count themselves lucky. I am able to get a bus every hour but the last bus through my town which has a main trunk road through it is 18:40.

Re: Evening Buses
Correct. Last X43 bus is at 22:40. Monday to Thursday it terminates in Rawtenstall and Friday and Saturday it goes through to manchester. But don’t let facts get in the way! People love to still claim the last X43 bus is still at 21:45 even though it isn’t anymore.
